    Suns 2024-2025 Season Discussions

Even with Bookers 49 point game in the Min. series Booker still averages 5ppg less in elimination games than his career average. Booker is a great player, I just don't think we can win a championship with him being our best player. +/- 2021 Mil: -15 2022 Dal: -41 2023 Den: -27 2024 Min: +1

    Suns 2024-2025 Season Discussions

Didn't KD average 27ppg last season? it's not like he was injured or didn't produce. Once DA flamed out, CP3 hit the end of his career and Booker was confirmed not to be the #1 guy the team was toast. Dragging Booker through a certain 5 year rebuild wasn't appealing to anyone so they swung...

    First and Second Apron Restrictions

True, but hopefully he will shore up non-financially restricted divisions. Coaching, Scouting, player development and the GM.

    Can we blame Vogel?

I'm sure we can find and afford a new coach. Landing top talent is more difficult. At the end of the day we have a team of often injured old players, that includes the leagues top coach killer in KD, trades are restricted by contracts, and the cap, and we don't control our own draft picks...

    Can we blame Vogel?

What quality coach is going to want to coach this team as hamstrung as it is. There likely isn't a better option than Vogel at this point. They have no viable options other than running it back next year. They need to spend next season developing a plan for the future. Starting with revamping...

    Suns 2024-2025 Season Discussions

Replacing Allen or Beal with a "minimum" PG isn't the answer. It may help some, but we need a PG who is good enough to offset the loss in production from Allen or Beal. Someone who can lead the team on a deep playoff run. Just as important is the need to get bigger tougher and more athletic...

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

Hardin had 13 assists and one turnover his last game. Could you pass him up if he wanted to come here for whatever we could pay. Why not at this point

2024 NBA Draft talk: Suns own pick 22

if the starting five are coming back as stated that eliminates Nurk.

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

I didn't watch the press conference; they are certainly arrogant, (Ishba and JJ) and possibly stupid when it comes to BB decisions, time will tell. In any event, none of it sits well.

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

They are saying they don't need a point guard because they know they can't get one. They are saying this core just needs minor tweaks because that's all that is going to get done. What are they going to say, we are bringing the starting 5 back because we've backed ourselves into a corner and...

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

Agree with all of this and would add, what they are saying and what they are thinking is likely two very different things. Alot of the press conference speak was likely geared towards keeping the players unified and on the same page, if they ever were. They are in a real pinch no matter how...

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

True they do have a choice, but I don't think we are ready to pitch Booker to the curb yet, and trading KD isn't likely to improve us for next season, so run it back with new coach, maybe GM and if it doesn't work then blow it up.

Suns updates and discussion for the 2023-24 season

They don't have much of a choice but to bring everyone back. What is desperately needed is a coach with a plan that doesn't require a point guard. We are not going to land a PG good enough to offset the guy he replaces in the rotation. A back up PG, might help a little, but isn't going to turn...

"It's like Looney Tunes around here" - A Suns source reveals how chaotic the organization is under new owner Mat Ishbia

This experiment has one more season, maybe with a new coach, and if it doesn't work Ishba is going to blow it up and start from scratch.

"It's like Looney Tunes around here" - A Suns source reveals how chaotic the organization is under new owner Mat Ishbia

Ishba walked into a mess, and we'll need some time to determine what kind of owner he is. If I purchased a business for a few billion bucks, you could bet I'd be in the middle of everything, at least for the first year or two. There has to be a pretty big learning curve to owning an NBA team.

    Do Suns blow it up?

It's a tough spot, as you point out the best way to offload Beal is to trade everyone and lose a bunch of games, but it's going to be tough watching high picks go to someone else.

    Do Suns blow it up?

If we want to win a championship, we need to get younger, bigger, tougher, both physically and mentally, and more athletic. We are a long way off and it's difficult to imagine how this happens without shipping out Booker. To make things more difficult, we also need a #1, since we have confirmed...
