Who the heck is Urban. Didnt even play last year. Must have seen something in preseason games or something to like him enough to put on the 53 man roster. He has really good size(6-3, 210) thats all about I know of the guy.

As for Patrick we have to wait until tommorrow to see if he clears waivers, not sure if the Labor day counts or not as part of that day.

Here is an article on Urban. He also played with Seattle and had a 41yd catch against us.

Doubt it or they would have announced them with the ones they just got becuase all of their waiver claims were put in at the same time, yesterday.

Also Urban stated in his blog that the Cards wont release their PS until tommorow. Probably to wait and see if Patrick is claimed or not I would assume, and they want to list the whole squad at the same time.

we're not going to sign Simeon Rice..hes etheir going to the Broncos or Rams..and he is not welcome here after his comments about Pat Tillman and also Urban already asked RG about Simeon and he said he wasn't in their plans...

Totally agree ... you can never have enough corners on the team .. quality ones that is ... someone always seems to get hurt during the season ...

i didn't say not to upgrade..im saying we won't need to trade for anybody since Evan Oglesby(Ravens CB) might of not been picked up yet..and i haven't seen anything on Terrance Pennington or Courtney Anderson..theres players out there..you just need to stop looking at the well known ones

DE QUENTIN MOSES & WR JERHEME URBAN



Tempe, AZ – The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced the team has been awarded its waiver claims on defensive end QUENTIN MOSES (Oakland) and wide receiver JERHEME URBAN (Dallas).



To make room, the Cardinals released tight end BEN PATRICK and placed linebacker/defensive end CHIKE OKEAFOR on injured reserve (bicep).



The 6-5, 260-pound Moses was drafted by the Raiders in the third round (65th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft out of Georgia and was released by Oakland on their cut to 53 yesterday. The Athens, GA native finished his college career with 25 sacks for the Bulldogs, good for sixth in school history. As a senior in 2006, Moses collected 33 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 32 quarterback pressures.



The 6-3, 212-pound Urban (whose first name is pronounced “Jeremy”) originally entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Seattle Seahawks in 2003 out of Trinity University. He appeared in 11 games with two starts for Seattle between 2003 and ’05, while also spending time on the team’s practice squad. He signed with the Cowboys in October of 2006 and spent the rest of the season on Dallas’ practice squad. He has 13 receptions for 268 yards (20.6 yard avg.) with one touchdown in his NFL career.

I would think Wells would backup the OT spots.

That would mean that we would have 2 position changes to make .. loss of continuity to me .. I do agree that Wells should be playing tackle in the first place, but moving him to tackle late in the season and replacing him with a backup at LG would be a shock to the Oline ...
