For those wondering, the 10th place Mavericks (32-33) beat the Spurs on Monday.

It doesn't matter much who is fine anymore. If the Suns could bring in their G-League team to finish the season, it would be easier to watch.

Grayson Allen is now doubtful.

I think they actually have been playing better. Not great. Just better than they played for most of the season. Unfortunately, we have played younger, taller and more athletic teams. They have made us really look bad because we can't take advantage of them playing small because we lack speed as a team overall. Guys like Huff last game, come off the bench are are able to play like giants against us. We lack the height, speed, and athleticism as a team to match up. Teams are imposing their will against us. We have shooting. That keeps us in games. then we shoot ourselves in the foot with turnovers and allowing offensive rebounds. Plus we suck at transition defense. Teams get easy buckets against us when they play fast.

We have changed coaches, but the type of players we keep getting are similar. You can blame the GM. Looking around the league the game has changed since when James Jones played and shooting was the thing.

We are playing better, but playing uphill as underdogs each game. I have lowered my expectations for wins.

Let's make sure all the Suns players are 100% healthy before they play. There is next season to think about.

If we are going to get smoked by Houston, who we have struggled against for two seasons now, might as well give Oso some minutes at back up center.

My guess is this team will look radically different next season.

I certainly hope so. And not only the team, I'm so ready to move on from James Jones.

Maybe this time the Suns can use a more educated approach to team building rather than flying by the seat of their pants.

Every option should be open. It's not like the Suns have anything to win unless they accidentally stumble upon it.

That's why I am saying you need an identity first. Ours has been trying to just build off getting shooters. Obviously this hasn't worked.

We all see how the Western Conference top teams are building younger, taller, faster. That should be our goal to rebuild the team. We need a GM that will bring us into the new millennium.

And it may take a millennium to get there. Hopefully future owners won't suffer a brain fart along the way.

Brandon Kleen today pointed out to watch Houston for players we may want back in a trade. Ha ha. Probably some truth in that.

I'd be happy with just Dunn, Gillespie and Oso getting minutes at the expense of Jones and Plumlee.

In terms of team success, Plumlee has been one of the Suns most effective players, he should not see his minutes reduced. They have had FAR more success with Plumlee on the court than Richards. Richards puts up stats but he is perpetually lost when it comes to positioning, Plumlee also sets far better screens.

Plumlee should develop the mindset he is going to dunk or layup every shot he gets inside. Passing out seldom works for him. It usually results in a bad shot or a turnover.

Plumlee still has the hops, but he sometimes forgets it. He gets too worried about getting his shot blocked.
