Better off silent
I don't think the answer is trading a 25-year-old transcendent player.I wonder if the Mavericks owner and the Suns owner ever talk?
I can't follow this logic.

The mavs got toasted by guys who have had injuries getting injuries after the Luka trade.
What I don't get is Luka was good enough and young enough that even if you did give him the Super Max, you could still trade him for more than what you got the very next minute after he signed that super max deal. If you are so into building a winner in Dallas, how does taking a worse deal help you build that winner?
Yeah as far as I'm concerned the only reason you do a trade like this is if you believe he's going to self-destruct somehow (through injury or lifestyle). But unless that self-destruction was deemed to be imminent I don't see why they didn't take the offseason to allow the market to set his trade value. The mavs got toasted by guys who have had injuries getting injuries after the Luka trade.

Luka won’t age well. It’s all jump shots and no defense but he’s still a brilliant offensive mind. Anyone taking the Lakers seriously as contenders are prisoners of the moment.
De'Aaron Fox will undergo season-ending surgery per report.

There's injuries like this every year. Being healthy is half the contest as everybody needs to overcome injuries.
This ain't Seattle, though. This is Dallas, one of the biggest cities in the entire country. The NBA ain't allowing them to move out of a market that big for a market that small... or any market, IMO.It's self-sabotage, plain and simple. I don't care what the current owner says, they are trying to move the team to Vegas. Tank the value of the team in the city, allow the NBA to move the team to a hot market where the owner is already established.
Good news gang, we’re going to win one eventually!

I’m going to need to start taking better care of myself…
At least we win one before the Edmonton Oilers.
Seattle gets a new team and wins 5 before we win 1. I think they forgot to mark the apocalypse though because surely the world will end before the Suns win a championship or immediately after.
.The Lakers are better both now and going forward for making the trade. That's how the trade should be measured.
Suddenly, they now have a fleeting window with an aging Lebron and a 25-year-old superstar for the future.
They were not a contender prior to the trade. At least now they are in the conversation.
.
We have different opinions on LA in the short term. I think they have a 2nd rd ceiling. Long term if they can sign a superstar or rip another team off they will be players.
I agree, but if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck...This ain't Seattle, though. This is Dallas, one of the biggest cities in the entire country. The NBA ain't allowing them to move out of a market that big for a market that small... or any market, IMO.
The Suns should formulate the methods they use in games for teams that want to tank. You can have your squad shoot 60% and STILL lose by 10-15 points!!! Genius! The force for bottom dwellers to be bad is strong. They have draft picks at stake.
Can the Suns hold on and show them what really bad looks like?
I have ALWAYS known I would be dead before the Suns win one!Good news gang, we’re going to win one eventually!
