Beal is “open to considering other possibilities” this summer, but he had no interest in a midseason trade thanks to his no-trade clause

It's not Beal's fault that Washington was stupid. And I know it sucks to think this way, but he doesn't go out of his way to deliberately get injured. Geez.

This is an awful quote...

I didn't hear the entire thing and it probably required context. However, this quote alone is in poor taste to say the least. It's not his fault the Wizards were stupid or his fault the Suns were stupid enough to make one of the worst trades in history. However, being a tool about it? If that is what he did? That's all on Beal.

It is not. It's also not his fault that Phoenix was stupid enough to take him and his NTC on.

That's true too. When Beal has been healthy, he has been a legit member of the Big 3 and on some nights, our best all around player. It's just that we are paying all that money for a guy that will barely play 40 games a season. I love Brad as a player, he just isn't playing enough.

I’m not saying it’s his fault, but being so glib about the situation given what is happening with the team and him in particular is a terrible look.

If Beal has such a low value then do not trade him.

Get good return on Durant and maybe Booker, get young athletic and hungry guys on the team, and give Beal the green light, but let guys like Gillespie run the team. Do not put in a system where it is get the ball to Beal and clear out :)
