looked for a recent run thread - because what we're witnessing is absolutely wonderful imo
but before we get to the run game we must talk about it's equal counterpart and co-reason for existence
namely kyler murray - sure he has weapons around him now and sure they're performing at a very high level but as every cardinals fan knows - it all hinges on the quarterback - coolest thing about kyler this year has been the transition to being 100% checked in with both arizona and his teammates
kyler's biggest fan as far as I can tell is paris - from preseason to every post game - win or lose - nothing but praises from paris - these two go to other games together - and im pretty sure this relationship has paid some serious dividends
but anyways - back to the badassery that is our run game
24 passes to 32 carries - granted that's going to happen with a big lead but we were still moving the ball at an impressive clip
but when you look at the numbers this week don't look at conner's ypc - look at his overall roll and how the duties are being better divided -conner had as many pass targets as any receiver or tight end
hopefully this run by committee translates into a healthy conner come playoffs (PLAYOFFS?!)
and look at mr fresh legs benson! yes please!
finally - i gave petzing a lot of grief - not gonna lie - i bought it in bulk but the constant shotgun handoffs (that made me hate Whiz) are making defenses stutter - due to the quick routes (and now) deep shots kyler has been lighting up
if our run game continues to thrive i doubt kyler has any chance at mvp and im ok with that - he won't have the eye popping 300+ yards every week but this run game will get him back into the postseason - where we'll all have something to prove
