Trevor Lawrence wasn't in the OROY conversation. Williams can't help how Jayden Daniels is playing.
Jayden Daniels isn't the reason Caleb Williams isn't in the OROY conversation. Absent Daniels, Williams still wouldn't be in the conversation.

Trevor Lawrence wasn't in the OROY conversation because his play was mediocre at best and the Jaguars were 3-14. He wasn't even in the top 4 players getting votes. Even if he hadn't been wildly outplayed by Jamarr Chase and Mac Jones, he wouldn't have been in the conversation. Similarly with Williams.

I can't figure out the point of your post.

I was all in on Caleb until I saw him live last year during the USC/UofA game. He was outplayed by Noah Fifita who was starting his second ever NCAA game. That was enough for me to question his fit in the pros

I don't know what the future holds for Caleb Williams, but do you realize how bad you have to be, to be a top QB draft pick and not even be in the conversation for OROY? I mean, you're really, really bad, if that happens...and we're witnessing it for the 2nd year in a row (Bryce Young).

I don’t understand why you can’t figure out the point of my post. I was responding directly to the post I quoted. And now bolded.

Getting picked #1 overall as a QB doesn’t have to correlate to OROY consideration and means nothing.

I have edited my own thread title to Caleb Williams Struggling since yes he may not be a bust yet but he is definitely struggling.

Why?

No one should be sensitive about calling the dude a bust right now.
He doesn’t play for us and no one here should have a vested interest in the guy.

Maybe premature but he is trending that way and it seems his teammates are not fond of the kid.

Because I need to be less inflammatory

Also, why do you care? How is it effecting you where you feel the need to chime in and be negative?

How is this me being negative?

I’m simply asking how is it inflammatory.

Someone being triggered about Caleb having a bad rookie year on another teams fan board is just weird.its not even something anyone complained about it sounds. If you want to alter your own “negative” thread cool but I was just curious.

Personally, I have been pounding this theme a lot lately, the need for less inflammatory words by everyone.

Maybe the P&R forum has a lot to do with it.
We have an entire doomer thread dedicated to criticizing the Cards. Don’t think it has much to do with P&R.

What kills me about that punter comment is that would be funny at training camp or something.

Minutes after your drafted when you are celebrating with your family. Man that is some tone deaf dbag stuff.
I think you’re looking too deep into it. Think it was just entailing that the offense was going to fire on all cylinders & win alot of games. I doubt a Punter wants to punt a lot in which that would means he’s playing for anemic offense.
