Buying hype? Vegas?

Surely you don't think Vegas comments on how good a team is?
That spread is entirely based on bets place and they adjust the spread to motivate bettors to put money on the other side.
Considering the vast majority of sports book comes from the northeast and we are playing a NY team...we would have to be 3 time defending champs to even get a push in week one.

At 6.5 I'm surprised actually...really kinda figured we would have to get double digits to stimulate betting on the Redbirds...like 11.5
