Hope he doesn't learn to do stupid stuff like going for it on 4th down deep in his own territory.

I think why this works for the Lions is because they are consistent and Campbell has the buy in of the team. It's not an abnormal thing for them which makes it less of an emotional decision. The let down is less if this is just how you play football. Your defense isn't shocked being put in that situation. The offense isn't surprised they are going for it. The normalcy of the Lions going for it in these situations might be the best HC thing Campbell does. It's a huge advanatage.

but I thought going for it at your own 30 with a 3 pt lead was kinda crazy town
