He's just a rookie. His QB has his issues and his OC is Drew Petzing for goodness sake.

Having said that.

Watching the Rams while watching the Cards...

PUka Nacua looks like a monster compared to MHJ. And I get the schemed open plays, QB making incredible tight window throws, etc.

I'm just talking pure dog though.

Still believe in MHJ, but a new QB/OC doesn't automatically fix the issue. He's gotta up his level of dog as well.

For a guy who was supposed to win a lot of 50/50 balls, he doesn't put himself in a position to catch many.

I think he can still be a fine receiver, but I don't see him as a star. Certainly not worthy of the #4 pick of a loaded draft. He just doesn't have the attitude of a Jefferson or a Chase. Or even a Nabors.

He has been disappointing, but I would like to see him working with a different QB before I’m fully on-board. I know he would flourish with someone like Herbert.
I still think he'd still have his issues in Roman's offense, etc.

If it were previous Herbert offenses then yea he'd probably have a lot of success just on the type of throws.

However, yes would be on pace for 1100 yards though with a QB that layer throws over LBs consistently.

So… like a Kyler Murray-esque bust? After all, Marv was the 4th pick in the draft, not the first who’s also making 50 million per year.
Neither bust, but disappointing.

Introverts who don't physically dominate as much as they should based on their talent. Either really great or really disappear.

I don't question the floor with MHJ. Until he physically plays STRONGER and shows some YAC ability there is a question on ceiling.

Maybe the comp was Tee Higgins and not Fitz.

lol at the title,

Still way too soon to say bust though- he has had some excellent catches this season. When your QB plays like trash- it’s hard to overcome that.

This is it for me. Doesn’t really have that one special attribute that separates him from the pack in an NFL game. Just good in a few things and has some size and speed.

The generational guys have the absurd athleticism or great hands or unrelenting toughness or desire to win or whatever. Charmin plays football like he’s doing it because he’s always been good at it.

Just the being a rookie excuse doesn’t fly with me. How many WRs in today’s NFL have come in and been dominant in the last 5-7 years? Freakin 5th rounder Puca Nacua was insane from day 1. Making excuses for him is a joke. Especially considering his hype, not only college wide, league wide, and on this board, coming out in the draft.

Hes got issues and at this point wasnt worth his draft status.

Another undersized Rookie THIS YEAR Mcconky is severely outplaying him.

If he’s not good wow what a bust. Like nuclear meltdown bust
Which is wild because he was considered one of the best WR prospects in a long time . Still not saying he's going to 100% be a bust but he's been rather disappointing . As others have mentioned maybe a new QB/OC could fix him?

The whole offseason thing with MHJ “choosing” to skip traditional pre draft prep to instead prepare for the season should have been a big red flag. It shouted either arrogance and entitlement or he was hiding the fact that he is neither fast or explosive. He plays the game like a 4.65 40 guy with absolutely no explosive burst.

Agreed Shane. I am not buying the rookie excuse. In the current NFL environment, receiver is one of the easiest positions to slide in as a rookie and make an impact. Harrison looks like he is playing in second gear with very little effort. This is not an athleticism problem or distraction issue. He simply plays lazy
