This is the kind of game Kyler excels at… playing a bad team, with pressure off because we’re counted out to make the playoffs now.

We win this game if for no other reason than it gives the team ammo to say “we’re close!” while getting further away from any kind of impact player in the draft… again.

Yup, exactly the kind of dead rubber game where the Kyler stans come back out of the woodwork about how great he was in a game he throws for 235 and 1 TD.

Ok, Cheese. Tell me when and who was the last impact player we drafted? I would like to know who you think/say it is. :)
I am talking positive, not negative impact player.
I know Paris Johnson had a tough couple of games against the Seahawks. But, I see no reason to write him off as a bad pick. He still looks like part of the solution, not part of the problem.

I agree. And I think Stills is also part of the solution. And also Reiman. And maybe Max Melton.

But none of those guys are impact players, which was the ask.

I'm pretty down like everyone else after the last 3 games but...

It's not crazy to think the Cards could win 3 of the last 4 and the Seahawks lose 3 of the last 4.

The Seahawks have the Packers and Vikings at home, but the Seahawks have actually been worse at home, then a gimme on the road vs the Bears (pray for snow), then the Rams on the road. The Rams have won 7 of the last 10 vs the Chicks and the last 3.

Meanwhile, we have the Pats at home, the Panthers on the road is much harder than it looked 6 weeks ago but winnable if Kyler can up his game. I think the Rams beat us at the Coliseum, but I think we can beat the Niners at home with some luck.

Of course, if that plays out as I hope then that Niners game at home would be a huge game so Kyler would surely choke.

No way I'm missing this game. I deserve the punishment for turning my entire family into cardinal fans. If only I would have followed my father's lead and became a Chiefs fan we'd be looking for our fifth Superbowl. But no I told him you don't know what you're talking about old man ... :biglaugh:
Alas, the reality of being a Cardinals fan...

This might make me a fair weather fan, but this team is exhausting. I’m sure several folks here feel this way, but this team gave me just enough hope to make it really hurt when they pulled the rug out from underneath me post bye. I'll keep an eye on the game on Sunday, but going to try to not get invested in it.

Cardinals football was supposed to fill my time till MotoGP and WSBK 2025 started up.

Winter is coming. (Yeah, I’m finally watching GOT for the first time.)

Of all of them I think Melton has the tools and instincts to maybe elevate. But he has a lot more growth necessary to become an impact player. But I have sneaking suspicions he might be. Similar to my gut with Garrett Williams.

It’s this last paragraph that guarantees to me it won’t happen.

Niners beat the Rams and the Packers beat Seattle this week, then we are right back in it IF we beat the Pats.

All I asked for this year when the schedule came out was for the SF game to have playoff implications for US. If that happens, I can't say it's a terrible season. Even though we have had some brutally disappointing games (Buffalo, Washington, Minnesota and Seattle x2).

IF the SF game does matter, I don't expect to win it.
