Maybe this will finally put the nail into Johnson’s one dimensional, same character in every movie acting career

We saw this yesterday afternoon and really liked it. Good popcorn movie with action, adventure, and a good message.

Like in Be Cool when he was a gay country music singing bodyguard who wanted to be an actor?

That movie came out 20 years ago.

The only things he’s done since then that were even somewhat of a stretch were Southland Tales and Pain And Gain. Gain being prob his best performance too.

Watched it on Amazon. Meh
I thought it was a little better than "Meh" but not as good as I'd hoped. But that's typical for me when it comes to action, comedy Christmas movies. None of them seem to hold up for me (unless you put Home Alone in that category).

Nah, although my wife laughed a few times, the humor really fell flat for me. I loved Vacation but didn't care for any of the sequels. Anyway, now that I think about it, Scrooged comes pretty close to what I'm looking for in this kind of movie.
