Oh, BTW. Did anybody see that OT Alex Leatherwood was released from the Chargers last week? This is the doofus that said that Bama could beat the Cardinals before he was drafted. I've nursed a grievance in my heart ever since he said that and wished nothing but failure upon him since that day. Petty and immature? Yes but I don't give a damn. Bet he'd love a job with the Arizona Cardinals.

Kirk Cousins benched...

If we ever complain about a Cardinals' free agent signing going wrong, we can from now on always think that it could be worse.

Signing a franchise QB to a 160M contract with 100M garanteed and a no trade clause only to bench him in his first season is a new bar for bad free agent signings.

No, what was stupid was making that deal and then drafting a QB in the top 10. They had to have known they were thinking about drafting a QB before FA. Pennix was a reach/shock pick at that spot.

After losing RBs Christian McCaffrey, Jordan Mason and Elijah Mitchell to season-ending injuries, it now looks as if the 49ers will be without RB Isaac Guerendo for Sunday’s game vs. Miami. Guerendo is dealing with a hamstring injury and is unlikely to play, per source.

The fact that the 49ers haven't signed Michael Carter says a lot about what teams think of him.

Jon Gruden believes the NFL has a pass interference problem.

Gruden, who recently signed a deal with Barstool Sports, was a guest on the latest episode of the “Pardon My Take” podcast, which was published on Friday. During the interview, Gruden was asked if there is anything about the modern NFL that he would want to change.

He said his “biggest concern” is pass interference. Gruden thinks pass interference should be a 15-yard penalty like it is in college rather than a spot foul.

Not so sure about the above

I would think DBs would do anything even tackle the receivers if they are beat deep and take the 15 yard penalty

Especially long endzone throws
Make it a 15 yard penalty except for inside the 2 minute warning.

I kinda agree with Jon... lots of teams play for the penalty because the officials can be ticky tacky with the calls. A DB that isn't aggressive will get smoked every game...but then you get a referee that likes to be on TV and suddenly your best cover man has 130 yards in penalties.
Maybe spot foul with a 20 yard max... except after the 2 minute warning...that way it doesn't take away the hail Mary and 20 yards is still a huge chunk.

Former Ravens WR Diontae Johnson is likely to be claimed on waivers Monday, per sources. Potential landing spots include but are not limited to the Chargers and Chiefs - if Johnson even makes it that far on waivers.

#Bears OT Braxton Jones, who was carted off yesterday, is believed to have suffered a fractured ankle, source says. He’s still undergoing tests, but as of now, it’s just the fibula, not the tibia, as well.Jones faces a four-month recovery, back long before training camp.

I think the biggest problem is the way they enforce it. It is never consistent. DBs and WRs hold and make contact on almost every play. Lessening the penalty won’t make it better.
