Decent ending to a show that had lost its way.

How did it end for those of us who were curious but had little desire to finish after pretty bad seasons 4 and 5 and no desire post Costner?

They sold the ranch to the Native Americans for pennies on the dollar. The tribe promised to return the land to how it originally was and to never sell or build on it. Kaycee and his family were allowed to retain a small piece of the land for their own small ranch. Beth and Hubby bought a ranch far away from tourists. Beth killed Jamie. [\spoiler]

No way on that last one! (Heavy sarcasm implied).

Yea, it was pretty weak. They turned an interesting character into a lame generic black hat.

They had Elsa from 1883 narrate the end which was kinda cool.

The last season felt rushed and disproportionate to the prior series of episodes that were a drag with a bunch of music promotion filling some of the air time. I don't know if that was a holding pattern because of uncertainty of Costner or the strike. I don't like the way Jamie's character ended, although that was turning before Costner left the show so I guess it was inevitable. I actually enjoyed the last couple of episodes for what they were.
