NO DAWG IN MHJ But How Many of us Wanted him at #4.

I was all over picking MHJ with the 4th pick. I would have been upset if they would have gone a different direction. I still believe he is very talented, but I did not expect this. How many of you felt the same way or did you want someone else? If not for Connor, where would we be? Sorry, just venting.

Then pick up a WR with the extra assets from the trade. My stance was let's build the trenches so that when we have to dump Kyler that we'll be set for the next QB.

It’s both plus an alarming lack of arm strength. Those should be frozen ropes and they hang.

But Charmin absolutely makes the least amount of effort to get to the ball that is still there for a good WR to snag.

So frustrated with MHJ right now. I mean I put this loss on Murray, but MHJ is not helping.

The first two plays on our possession in overtime...

1st play - Kyler puts it on MHJ, but the throw is maybe a little late? It looks like MHJ gets two hands on it though. DB breaks it up. It was a long throw from the far hash. If we're talking about K1's throw velocity, it could have been an issue here. It was a bang bang play, and the camera angle isn't great, but it looks like MHJ had a chance at the ball.

2nd play - Kyler again throws a catchable ball on a similar shorter route, the DB makes a good break on the ball. Harrison still appears to get two hands on it again, but then loses possession after a little contact from the DB. A more egregious drop than the first play.

Then 3rd and 10 and the sack. Then the penalty on 4th down. Punting from the back of the endzone. Ball game.

Not saying MHJ lost the game by any means, but we need a lot more from him next year. A lot.

Agree. Dude puts touch on every pass when often what's needed is a laser.
I was thinking yesterday it would be nice to have the tech to track the time it takes the ball to get to the receiver after it leaves his hand...I'm guessing his passes take significantly longer than Josh allens..Defense has way too much time to close.

What strikes me off about MHJ is that he grew up watching his dad play WR and I’m sure they’ve had many discussions about the intensity of the NFL especially WR position and how to beat NFL CBs as he got older etc…. Just shocked he doesn’t have that intensity come out in his play but just the opposite. He is getting a crash course that the NFL is full of athletes just as good as him. Year two for him is all mental

We actually converted there, on 3rd and 10 Kyler ran for almost 9 and then on 4th and 2 we got it with Carter up the middle. Carter got 5 on first down and then the wheels fell off.

Clowney tackles McBride so the entire play is blown up, no flag, Kyler throws short of Higgins who's the only receiver even remotely in the route because McBride got tackled and Marv didn't run a route. Then delay of game so 3rd and 10, then the sack and the punt. We actually got a great punt and roll, their ball at the 34 but, Dimekuje was downfield early so we had to rekick and that was ballgame they got the ball at basically midfield.

Then Budda did his I'm guessing the ball is going here run overrun to put them in FG range and that was the game..

We suck but you do also gotta wonder if they just call the defensive holding on Clowney it's first and 10 does do we go down and score and win?

Brittan Golden is hosting the PHNX Cardinals post-game show just said if he comes out playing like this next season, then fans should be prepared for serious bust potential. Also said that the Front office needs to bring in a veteran to teach him how to play the game and prepare. Very disappointing

You would think having a HOF father would have prepared him...

I really really think this is just who Marv is. In college he struggled every time he had to face a CB who got drafted, which only happened a couple times. According to everyone he has amazing work ethic, might have maxed out his potential already.

Rosen still gets me. I knew he wasn't perfect, saw enough of him missing deep throws at UCLA. But for him to be as bad as he was really surprises me. He had a very good arm, had the size, and he's a VERY bright guy, super smart. But he just never caught to to the speed of the NFL it was alarming how many picksixes he threw.

It wasn't a must pick for me. I wanted a trade down for more picks. Build the trenches and hopefully Murray could just manage the games. Adding weapons on offense just seems to never work out for the Cardinals.

PS I was ok with the Simmons pick. Still don't understand why he failed in the NFL. Too much talent but I guess he was just good at everything but not great at anything. I always thought at worse you're getting a PB safety
