Third team in a couple years. The portal can’t be helping many of these guys.
I think that tweet was poorly worded because I also interpreted it the same as you. He was the #2 TE coming out of the state of Michigan. He committed to Kentucky out of highschool and played two seasons as a Wildcat.

He had so much potential when he was here.
This is my fear for these guys. Was successful at asu and could’ve become the bellcow. Took a swing for the fences when the big boys came knocking and got a rude awakening. He wasn’t ready. Switched again, this time back downward and wasn’t really considered a stud anymore and didn’t get traction at the lesser level. Now downgrading below where he began. Likely really hurt his pro possibilities. Had he stuck at asu maybe he’s a draft pick. Doubt it now.

Similar story with Elijah Badger. He could have been incredible with Leavitt under Arroyo and Dillingham. He had an okay year yardage wise, but touches were way down.

Yes, Chip Trayanum looked like he might have pro potential when he was at ASU.
I think this is why he chose Toledo. To rehabilitate his play and do it against inferior competition in his mind.
