My understanding was that the Arians thing was a Rooney Family decision, not a Mike Tomlin decision.

Ouch! Glad he ended up retiring there and finding his way here. ;)

The shine has really worn off that turd. I'm glad the days of hearing people clamor for his return appear to be gone.

and yet, apparently, it was all Haley and Warner who were responsible for the Super Bowl run and Whiz was just the lucky idiot along for the ride.

I head Tomlin driven: it was about BA being too close to Big Ben -- and -- BA being a too big a personality among players relative to Tomlin. Tomlin wanted "one voice"

Funny how Tomlin was good with Cowhers players , now that a lot are gone he's average at best and seems to be going down. I think of a slower timetable version of Barry Switzer, not that extreme but similar

This was brought up on Dave Dameshecks podcast. All the success B.A has been having in Indy and Arizona and how the Steelers are 500. The grass isn't always greener. I was never a Haley fan he's done nothing without Warner

Pittsburg's struggles have nothing to do with Arians leaving. A once e dominant defene just got old and the Steelers haven't drafted well to replace them. I believe they got Tebow'd in Arians last year there.

That said thank God they went a different direction.

The gang that argued that consistently forgot that Haley was only here for one of the two playoff seasons. The 2009 team may not have made it to the Superbowl but it was a better and more consistent squad... without Haley.

I guess it's too much to hope that we face off against Whiz anytime soon. Looooovvvveee the idea of pounding the Steelers in a rematch.
