At this point my expectations are so low I just want a fun popcorn film in the big screen.
I've never understood this attitude towards movies. Your expectations for this sound like my expectations for the new Fantastic Four movie: floor level. For sure, I'm not shelling out a single red cent to see that one. If your expectations are that low, why not save money or watch a different movie? I don't get the "Eh, sounds like it sucks but I'm in" attitude.

Not fully directed at you. It's general confusion in the trend.

I'm in on this one. I still love Jurassic Park and this does appear to have a lot of callbacks to that first film. I know the last one did as well, that's why I saw that one and kinda enjoyed it. Much more than the previous two World movies, at least.

I don' need every single movie to be Oscar worthy and I don't need every movie to be Epic Marvel. I am OK with the occasional popcorn fun movie. If it's fun I will go see it. That's what I mean.

I get you. It's just, the way you describe it, you're only hoping it will be fun. Like I was with Gladiator II, and was sorely disappointed.

Popcorn and Netflix
Certainly not theater worthy except for the visuals.
But my recliner is only 6 ft from my 60" 4k...turn the lights off and it's awesome

To varying degrees, I've enjoyed every JP movie so I'm looking forward to another one.

Im not even sure I have seen them all since they are so similar...but they didnt have ScarJo...I will remember this one.
I guess it depends on your perspective. I stopped watching the MCU movies for the same reason but I doubt fans of the genre see it the same way. To me, the JP movies obviously have similarities but I don't ever confuse one with the other.

But yeah, bringing Scarlett into this world could really raise the bar for some of us. I'm not tired of the old JP movies but I have seen enough of the casts, they've had their run. So I'm really looking forward to seeing ScarJo in this setting and already hoping it's another trilogy.
