Snakester
Draft Man
Love to see CC back! Very happy with this signing and he can still play at a high level.
Got to keep those old legs fresh! I know you know what I mean!and 12 TFL on only half the snaps.
I sat right behind his mom and woman at the Thursday night football game in St. Louis years ago…..Love this move. Gotta admit I thought it was a cruel April fool's hoax at first.![]()
He ran a slow 40 time I thought… not sure but I thought that’s why he droppedI remember when we drafted him I'd seen him in college he looked like a star but his numbers were just ok. He played high, because he's so tall high center of gravity and that was always the question. I said I like him I just worry he's going to have issues with NFL offensive linemen because they're so strong and he plays so high.
Needless to say I was NOT correct.
B/c of D-Rob?Just don’t see it.
I would expect the same.Good pick up if for no other reason than he’s a legit vet with a voice the young guys will listen to. Leadership is key for any team and Calais brings almost two decades worth of it to then team.
Even beyond that, 5 sacks and 12 TFL is still pretty solid and the TFL are more than I expected. The D-Line rotation should be much improved this season. That’s exciting.
With everything we added to our front 7 in FA, I’m guessing that our first pick ends up O-line at this point.
Nah. They don’t even play the same alignment.B/c of D-Rob?
Another guy with issues? LolNah. They don’t even play the same alignment.
Potential work ethic concerns.
Because this how Monti builds the team if you look at who he signed and tried to sign in FA.Sigh.. why?? I get he is a fan favorite but I feel like we should be focusing on the young guys getting their playing time. I guess as I am writing this I answered my why.. he would make a great locker room leader.
We should have never let him leave in the first place.. Same with Dansby and he came back a third time.
Oh well.. lets get it CC.
If I recall correctly it was also about his height and pad level in the NFLHe ran a slow 40 time I thought… not sure but I thought that’s why he dropped
I remember when they let him walk. The talk was around giving him a 3rd contract, and recent history of guys who had gotten one - and the outcome was generally NOT good for teams choosing to do so. You wind up paying for past performance, the guy runs out of gas, gets hurt, or whatever, and the decision is regretted later. IIRC while people were disappointed to see him go, there also wasn't a huge outcry that letting him walk was a mistake either. Hindsight is 20/20 - obviously they'd give him that contract if they could have had any idea what he had left. And after Year 8 we know now he had a LOT left.Sigh.. why?? I dunno man... I seem to recall quite a bit of friction regarding his departure.I remember when they let him walk. This is an overwhelmingly popular move with the gang here, which is pretty rare. Personally I think it's spectacular for all the reasons already mentioned.
Yea, I’m surprised you didn’t know.Another guy with issues? Lol
