10 thoughts - round one and day two.

Exactly my thinking. Where do Kamara fit in? I am not sure. I would guess as Ojulari's backup, while a more powerful player takes right DE? Maybe even Darius Robinson when they are in a 4-2.

10 thoughts - round one and day two.

Yeah, I know your view, Krang. It is not that I disagree, by the way. Going of gameplay only, Kamara is in the first round, no doubt. It is just that he have done it against oppositions that are lightyears from NFL teams, and his limitations make me worried. Say they get Kamara in the middle of...

10 thoughts - round one and day two.

BCF, I completely agree. I dream of McKinstry with their first pick today. I think the position is way too important, and the need is way too big, to wait until a bigger project shows up.

    Cardinals pick at #35

McKinstry, and it is not close.

10 thoughts - round one and day two.

1 – I cannot add anything new and clever about Marvin Harrison that haven’t been said a million times before. He’s great. That’s all I got. 2 – Every year, my test of what I truly want at a certain pick is to see what goes through my mind when the Cards are on the clock. I can easily have...

    Your 3 bold draft predictions!

I think this is spot on, Bach. That is why it has never made sense to me to want one of the high rated DT to actually play DT, but in your scenario it could make sense. My bold predicition is that Cards use two high picks (day one or two) on WRs.

I don't have that information, Garth. :( Great point, though.

    OT: 2024 NFL Draft Rumors

Great information, CN! I find this interesting. It shows the hits and misses from the first round from 2000-2019. A hit is defined as someone getting a second contract with the team that drafted him.

    OT: 2024 NFL Draft Rumors

I agree with your last point, Solar, but I think it is a matter of having one ranked higher than the other, but that the difference become more equal when you add in draft picks. At least it is that way to me. Also, if it happened as I describes - trade with the Giants, so that they can take a...

    OT: 2024 NFL Draft Rumors

Garth, I think it is all about which team it is. For the Cards, I would go with size over speed, but others will certainly prefer the speed.

    OT: 2024 NFL Draft Rumors

It really is shocking to me that some fans want them to stay and take Harrison regardless if they get an offer from the Giants, and can take Odunze at #6. I mean, I obviously respect the opinion, but have you seen him play? He is a monster. Getting Odunze and extra draft capital is a complete...

    Gandhi mock draft 1.5

I don't really care how Booker tested, as I think he is a special case. He is so inexpierenced that it is a mystery how he could dominate like that. And he played a lot more athletic than he tested. With Hunt it is kind of the opposite story in that he clearly needs a lot of work, yet tested...

    OT: 2024 NFL Draft Rumors

Yes, QC, that is of course the other potential perspective. That it has changed Ossenfort's view. Thanks. I had not thought about that.

    Gandhi mock draft 1.5

I just have another view. :) And I can see that several scouting reports back up my thoughts, especially from the Senior Bowl. There are always players that surprise. Players drafted in lower rounds, where you would typically not expect to find game changers. A couple of players I have my eyes...

    OT: 2024 NFL Draft Rumors

Garth, my choice would be Kool-Aid McKinstry, but the more I think about it, the more I think Chop Robinson could certainly be in play. I think that they drafted Ojulari last season to take the Haason Reddick-role that Gannon created in Philly, but I could see them being too enamored with...

    Gandhi mock draft 1.5

Thanks for the kind words, Krang! I must say that I disagree on that. I don’t think he is your traditional run stuffer. He can certainly do that, but I think he has more pass rush-potential that given credit for. I could see him playing both nose tackle and 5-tech in Gannon’s system (though...

    Gandhi mock draft 1.5

F4E, you are most likely right. My thinking is that the team could use upgrades here and there, both in the top and rotational roles. And the more draft choices you make, the bigger the chance of hitting – especially is you have drafted players that fits your system well. In my mind, those...

    Gandhi mock draft 1.5

I did not expect it either, gmable. Going into the draft, I would have expected to get away with two defensive linemen, so this was just a result of how the board fell. I will say, though, that I would be more confident that Lovett could contribute right away than both Jackson and Carter, though...

    Gandhi mock draft 1.5

My mock draft for this year is now concluded. I thought I would post this in a separate thread, since the other might be a bit confusing by now. I am obviously also evaluating myself in a game like this – only because it is entertaining. I mean, mock drafts are mostly about having fun, and...

    Gandhi mock draft

Obviously, I had the same targets for the selection two spots later. This was my last, but since I had several targets, I tried to trade down. New England approach me, but they couldn’t offer anything other than simply trading down, and then a pick for next year (which I think we are not allowed...

    Gandhi mock draft

Again, I tried to trade down. I had several targets here, so moving down, grapping an extra pick, and get two of those targets would have been great. Unfortunately, it takes a partner, and there was just no one there. The targets were: Defensive tackles Fabian Lovett (Florida State) / Justin...

    Gandhi mock draft

I had hoped that tight end AJ Barner (Michigan) would be available here, but no, he was obviously not. I would have liked to add one more tight end to Petzing’s TE-heavy offense, and Barner would be a very interesting fit with his current abilities and big developmental potential. Because of...

Cards Trade Request Will Be Met

    Gandhi mock draft

Round 6 Since Boyd got taken earlier, this was an easy pick. I did not consider trading down, and did not consider any other target. #186 – Dylan McMahon, center, NC State This might be my favorite fit-pick. McMahon’s enormous obstacle is that he is too small to play in the NFL, and he...
