I'm always optimistic, but even if we win, I'll be very worried about the Jets, next week. Basing that opinion on how Rodgers played in the 2nd half, last night. They had eight sacks and Reddick will be rounding into shape. As a plus for us, in the Jet game we might have Jonah Williams, Darius...
Seems like only yesterday that I was reading what a disaster Beach has been. Reminds me (in reverse) of my first girlfriend and all the good things I said about her until she dumped me.
Not for nothing, but the Texans are on the second rung from the top and the Jets are on the second from the bottom and the Jets are favored in tomorrow's game.
I'm sure Ryland got a game ball, as he should have. But, how about one for Brewer and Gillikin. Just watched a video of the winning FG, and it was a perfect snap and hold. Laces facing away. Remember, FG's take three guys doing their job and two are often overlooked.
My problem, if I remember correctly is that he's been perfect on XP's and FG's and I know no one is perfect. Can't we have him miss one early and that will take the pressure off ME.
Don't forget the defense as we held Hill and Waddle pretty much in check, without a good pass rush. And, please stop with the Budda trade possibilities. He's a tackling machine and the heart of our defense. McBride was great on National TE Day, also. And, I'll close with, "Welcome Back Mr...
ZERO pressure, maybe not. Our top four (depth chart) are out, but Stills, N. Jones, Collier and Stille have shown some inside pass rush ability. Two other things to consider, one good one bad.
1. Tua might be rusty.
2. Team wouldn't risk playing him, if they thought he was being brought back too...
You do realize that you are suggesting they'll be open more because opponents will be covering Kupp, Pacua, Evans, #18 of MN, Hopkins, Diggs, Collins, Metcalf, etc. Must have missed that as I was trying to swing a trade for Max Crosby.
Marv has the protential to be a #1 WR, even if he's not there yet. But, he'll only improve with more targets, which is easier said than done. Bottom line, we are playing better when we run the ball more and play with three TE's, and there's the rub.
Hopefully, since we're paying them the big...
I like Tua and root for him, when he's not playing the Cardinals. And with our improving defense, I feel bad for him if he has to play us. Just hope we win and don't end his career. Forget the details, but remember Steve Young getting injured playing us late in his career.
In hindsight, I'd say the game was over early.
1. LA was getting ready to score and we punch the ball out and it bounces our way for a touchback.
2. They get an INT, and fumble and again we recover.
3. The refs for a change make a crucial call in our favor.
If we don't win with those plays...
You're probably correct when it comes to passing, but what his running brings to the game is another matter entirely. There are few that match his wheels.
