I don't know the Detroit roster, but when you mention TE, you compare one player from each team. We have three good TE's who have different skill sets, so I'm going with Arizona, though admitting only knowing about one Lion TE.
In fairness to Jones, his team would have won on Sunday if they had a kicker. I was at the Cardinals-Giants game when Billy G. got hurt celebrating a made FG. And I believe that Pat Tillman kicked an XP.
Don't know if this was mentioned already, but on the first MHJ TD grab, I was VERY impressed with the TD call by the ref. And doing it in real time was even more impressive IMO. I had to watch the replay a couple of times to see it.
My concern about the game, and it brings me back to my youth, late fifties (college) and early sixties (Army). My favorite novelist was F. Scott Fitzgerald. Probably not related to Larry, though both were from Minneapolis-St. Paul. I remember a scene from one of his novels "This Side of...
IMO, he didn't fall over the line. His "dive from five" was more than impressive. And while I'm not saying his speed is elite, I thought his 40 time was pretty good. At least, I don't remember anyone bringing it up as a Red Flag.
Couldn't agree with you more. We couldn't put it away late in the half. An opening drive TD might do it, but if we don't score early, I'm expecting a close game.
That wasn't the point that I was trying to make. I was pointing out that our entire roster (90) wasn't as bad as some posters were saying.
1. In our first game our defense did not play well, but I think we can improve.
2. Buffalo is a pretty good team, and they were playing at home.
3. Starters...
Chopper, I agree. I was hoping they would not be a good team since McCaffrey was out. And then another great runner takes his place. One, who I have to admit that I had never heard of.
