    Hopkins value will bear out when he signs with another team and we see how much that team is willing to pay him for his services. That alone will tell us whether a trade was ever possible with the salary he would come with in a trade.

    This is most likely why he was released. I also think having him off the books in 2024 was a factor. Unless I'm incorrect a trade would have kept him on in dead cap space in 2024.
