Correct, but in such cases it's more of a formality when the player knows he is coming back to the PS. I don't see any team offering him a ton more money than he would be getting with the Cardinals unless he lights it up in pre-season.

Tune will most likely end up on the practice squad with Ridder as #2. Odds of another team claiming him are pretty slim. He won't get cut as he know the offense which has value as a #3. The only way he gets cut is if he really blows it in camp and pre-season games.

He will probably work cheap so he may have the inside track.

I want a manager who is going to expect the absolute best out of each and every player and who is willing to step on any player who doesn't perform up to expectations. One who is willing to drop or bench a fan favorite or big name player if a younger lesser known player is out performing the...

I find Gallardo interesting as well as Renard and Pochettino. Frank also seems to fit the bill. A agree, no MLS guys or guys with ties to US soccer.

I get the ranking and it's probably just about where they should be. You have a new left tackle moving over from the right side. An unknown at left guard. A returning center and right guard and a new right tackle. Three positions that are changing out of five. It will take some time for...

This team needs a major shakeup. Berhalter needs to be shown the door and a coach that has no ties to US soccer or the team needs to be brought in. Just look at the new women's coach. Left Morgan off the squad and rightfully so. She hasn't performed and should not take up a roster spot. The...

This is where I disagree, not with you but with decisions made by Berhalter. They should have stayed with the 4-4-1 keeping Balogun up top and going with Reyna, Pulisic, McKinnie and Torre/Aaronson in the midfield. You don't remove a player that is forcing the other team to have to account for...

Speaking of Reyna, it's criminal how Berhalter is using him in games. Reyna has some creative/passing abilities (we have seen it in other games) yet Berhalter decides it's better to have him as more of a defensive mid than attacking. Sometimes I think Berhalter holds a grudge against Reyna and...

Once again Berhalter plays for the tie and fails. Horvath is terrible. On the winning goal all he had to do was volley it over the crossbar. Instead it goes through his hands. How there was no card shown on the collision with Turner is beyond my comprehension.

Caught the second half of the Mexico/Venezuela game last night. Great second half by both teams. Mexico had a chance to tie the game late on a hand ball in the box which I thought could have gone either way depending on which angle you saw it and the Venezuela Gk came up big on the penalty...

I tuned in around the 60 minute mark and suffered through the last 30 minutes. Never Have I ever seen so many players get stripped clean of the ball like the US did last night. I'm not sure I have ever witnessed an uglier 30 minutes of soccer in my life. Thank God the ref decided to end this...

    What’s Wrong with Murray?

Murray needs to acknowledge the areas in his game that need improvement. Until he does this and makes a commitment to working on those areas, he will always be the could never quite reach the status of a top 10 QB. This is the time of year that everyone is saying positive things and everything...

Worse I ever had, I tore a meniscus during a game. I just turned to change directions on the field and I felt something. My knee swelled up and I was done for that day. Operation was a success and never had any problems with it afterward. In my early 40s when it happened. Now 68 and its...

Games where I had center and I had no assistants, Yes up to a certain age in Pa. at least you get games alone, I would tell the players and coaches before the game I will call offsides to the best of my ability and I my get a couple wrong so and we will have to just live with that.

At the start of every game that I did center, during the coin toss I would tell the captains of both teams that I am giving you your warning about dissent here and any dissent later would result in a card. I would tell them to go back and tell your coaches and the rest of the team what I just...

    Murray and Leadership

I have never been much of a Murray fan. That said, I believe this is his make or break year. He now has pieces around him and no longer has an excuse of lack of weapons and a competent coaching staff. He needs to make substantial steps forward both in his game and his leadership. If all we...
