I tend to agree - if they trade up to #4, they'll probably pay a slight premium over the draft chart value. If the Cardinals were in position for one of the top two QBs, I think their pick would fetch a much higher premium. With Jefferson and Addison already on their roster? I doubt that...- daves

In a trade down to #6 with the Giants for a QB, the Chargers (or someone trading up with them) could take Harrison or Odunze at #5, but one of them would be guaranteed to be available at #6. But yeah, trading down any father leaves no guarantees. Hopefully Ossenfort would have a trade back up...- daves

This is entirely incorrect. It has everything to do with whether a player is worth the value of a huge contract. The fact that it's difficult to predict doesn't change that fact. But if players acquired via the draft suffer long-term injuries, they don't saddle the team with huge salary cap...- daves

Interesting - this seemed like light compensation for the Vikings to get from 42 all the way to 23, but it almost exactly matches the Draftek trade value chart: #23 + #232 = 760 + 1 = 761; #42 + #188 + 2025 2nd = 480 + 16.2 + 270 = 766.2.
