One of my favorites as well. I remember him taking two steps back and throwing it as hard as he could and Billy Truex (sp) would catch it in stride and keep trucking. Not sure how he could even see it much less catch it.
But we do know that GM's call around before the draft to gain teams interest in moving and what it going to take. So it not a reach to think that MO wouldn't have a well educated guess as to who, where, and what it takes to get any number of picks.
It could be if you already have a deal in place to swap 11 and 27 for #5. You still get MHJ, move up 4 picks in round 1, and Addison for free. Although I'm greedy and would tell them I need next year's 2. Gotta pay the QB tax baby.
John F. Long was a true story. He offered to give them the land around 75th Ave and McDowell. All they (BB) had to do was name the stadium after him. That is about the time big business was offering millions for naming rights, so he said no. That is why it took him so long to get a new stadium
Can't disagree with what you're saying here. The only saving grace there is if you can swap 11 and 27 for pick 5. You still get MHJ and pick 23 instead of 27. Then next year's number 1 from MN is just gravy at that point. So wouldn't matter where the pick is it's still allows you to get two of...
If all that is agreed to at the time there is no reason not to do it. I would like MN to pay a bit extra for a QB. Especially if that mock comes true and they are getting Maye. Who in my opinion is the top QB in the draft.
I can't disagree with your stance. I think Caleb has a higher floor, but I think he might be a head case. I think Maye will go on to have a Matt Ryan type of career.
