Cardinal Round 1 Can't Miss Options

Our biggest needs are center, guard, and running back on offense and cornerback, edge rusher and tackle on defense. I don't want to draft a running back in round one and don't like the idea of drafting one of the highly rated tackles with with the idea of playing him at guard for a year or two...

    Jordan Schultz Article re: Bidwill/Keim/Kliff

I think there's a fair chance that Bidwill fires Keim and keeps Kingsberry. The new GM evaluates the whole team, coaches and players, in 2023 and then makes changes accordingly.

Also, how bad must Cody Ford be that when practice squad player turned starter, Rashaad Coward, is out with a chest injury, Ford still can't even claim the position. He will be rotating with the roookie Lecitus Smith on Monday night. Sheesh...he must really stink.

    Marquis Hayes

I don't think Brit meant to say that Hayes was traded, only that we had to make a trade for Cody Ford since Hayes was on IR and not available.

    Marquis Hayes

Whatever happened to Marquis Hayes? He looked really good at left guard in one pre-season game and then it was reported that he went on season ending injured reserve with a knee injury. I never heard another word about him and was wondering if he needed/had knee surgery.

Wk 13- The bye week 2022

Take a look at the Chargers game. McBride's blocking sprung Connor on several of his early big runs. I was actually really impressed with his blocking in that game.

Arizona Cardinals release Michael Dogbe. 11/10/22

They may want to give some playing time to Trysten Hill, who they just picked up on waivers, or Johnathan Ledbetter, or even Manny Jones from practice squad. Obviously, Dogbe was a dog.

Cardinals at Vikings gameday thread 10-30-22

I don't know exactly how the wristband communication system works, but using one certainly shouldn't impugn a quarterback. And oh, by the way, Kurt Warner wore one when he played in Arizona. I'd say a pretty smart and accomplished quarterback.

Patrick Peterson promises interceptions (2) and "special celebration" against Az

Well, there's always two sides to the story and all we have heard is Peterson's side. From his days in AZ it was pretty apparent that he didn't mind bending the truth to suit his needs. I just don't have a lot of faith in some of the things that come out of his mouth.

Cardinals at Vikings gameday thread 10-30-22

I think Kingsberry is being honest when he says the wristband is simply an attempt to improve the efficiency of the playcalling. Kingsberry has said repeatedly that Kyler knows his offense better than anyone else on the team. No one claims that Tom Brady doesn't know the plays when wears a...

Why would any team trade for Hudson with his bad knee that has kept him out of most games this year? You would be trading for a guy that you really don't have any idea whether or not he is able to play. I'm also not sure he would pass anyone's physical.

    Marco Wilson Named DPOTW.

My eyeballs watching every game says he isn't. The amount of separation he allows receivers is ridiculous.

    Marco Wilson Named DPOTW.

I don't agree at all that Marco Wilson has had a good season. I think he got this recognition for his front aerial, which was played repeatedly on all of the media outlets. He's bad in zone coverage and man coverage, but he's young and could get better. Let's hope so.

Week 5 2022: Heroes and Goats

Back to the theme of Heroes and Goats, as I said last week, how do you not list Marco Wilson as a Goat?? He was targeted on almost every pass play, and failed to touch the ball or the receiver on every one. The guy has to be replaced for us to improve defensively. Hopefully, Antonio Hamilton...

Week 4 2022: Heroes and Goats

I got a problem with your goat picker. I mean playing "meh" shouldn't qualify someone as a goat; see James Connor and Kyler. I direct you to Marco Wilson, who never gets within two yards of his man on any pass in his direction, and also couldn't tackle a statue. Now there's a thoroughbred...

Things Don’t Look Much Brighter Despite Record

Talk about exaggeration. No way was this one of the "worst performances" by a Cardinal team. You have to consider the context of "worst Cardinal performances," which covers a lot of ground. This one wasn't even close. Just go back to game one of this season or last year's playoff...

After the game, locker room talk. What coaches and players are saying. 10/2/22

I was glad to see that Cameron Thomas got 9 snaps. He needs to get some playing time. Also glad to see Demukege and Mullen get some snaps on defense, along with McBride getting some offensive snaps. Two pass catching tight ends like Ertz and McBride can be a nice offensive weapon.

Week 3 2022: Heroes and Goats

I didn't know that draft ranking qualified or disqualified a player for hero or goat status. Good to know. Also, calling Matthew Stafford "a geriatric QB" is a bit of an exaggeration, don't you think?

Week 3 2022: Heroes and Goats

I don't agree with naming Collins a goat when you have Marco Wilson and Jacee Whitaker on the field. BTW Collins shows the sideline to sideline speed that Kevin Minter never had. I'd be willing to bet that absent injuries Zaven Collins will be a starter at inside linebacker for the next 5-10...

We are stuck with Keim, Kliff and Kyler for a long time...

I've been a Cardinal fan since the early 70's in St. Louis and I do remember George Boone. He was truly incompetent, and didn't believe in bringing in prospective draft choices for personal visits, as every other GM was doing at the time. He said he didn't want to hear what a college kid would...

I see that they cut Wiggins. I guess he served his purpose, supplying intel on the Cardinals. Must have been good intel the way they kicked our butts, or maybe they're just better.

Can we just cut Isabella and get it over with. We could use the roster spot and if he couldn't make an impact yesterday, he never will.

Interesting that Raiders claim Guidry the week they are playing us. Last week the Chiefs claimed Wiggins the week before they played us. I really wonder how much information is gleaned from former players. It sure looked like Wiggins gave them our playbook...both on offense and defense.

    15 thoughts - Chiefs game

Rashard Lawrence's rating doesn't surprise me at all. He made some plays and is better than our fans give him credit for being.
