    Chris Moore WR Signed

Not much more than a roster filler...probably a #4or #5 receiver. Not unlike our signing of Trystan Colon, Wilkinson or other deep on the depth chart guys.

    Jonah Williams Welcome To AZ

As has been stated, the signing gives us draft flexibility. The only "must have" need is for a #1 WR, which can be filled with #4 pick in the draft. Still have a strong need for CB, DT, Edge Rusher, and Guard.

The question is, does he count as a "Big John" signing?

    Elijah Wilkinson

Hopefully signed for depth and competition. He can't be our starting LG again next season.

Season Starts TOMORROW: What's your record prediction??

Not that it would make a difference in anybody's projections, but you're depth chart shows Daley as the backup right tackle, right guard, and left tackle but he's not on the roster, and I doubt that they bring him back. How's that for useless roster trivia?

    2024 Free Agency thread

This is a bit disingenuous. I'm sure that the Cardinal brass aspires to be a strong playoff team, but mediocrity is the more reasonable expectation for a team in the second year of a rebuild that started with one of the worst rosters in the NFL. That said, if they have a strong draft and find...

Bilal Nichols welcome to the SONORAN Desert

Where's the character shot? I would bet that every scout or coach that's seen Sweat wishes that he'd lose weight. Lots of guys have the physical ability to be NFL players, but deny themselves the opportunity due to their weight.

On the lower side of 7-9

Bilal Nichols welcome to the SONORAN Desert

I don't think that Sweat has the DNA that Monti and Gannon are looking for in a player. Someone who is 20 lbs. over weight and would be a much better player at the lighter weight, but doesn't/can't discipline himself is not the guy they want. In Gannon's words, its not winning behavior.

Cardinals' Free Agency Day One grade

Okay...Michael Wilson, PJJ, Ojulari, and Dante Stills will be second year players with reasonable expectations to improve. Last year's defense had such notables as Starling Thomas V and Antonio Hamilton at CB, and soon to be forgotten Roy Lopez, Naquan Jones, Phil Hoskins and Ben Stille playing...

Love to see Newton with pick #27 and then go OT with the 35th pick.

Cardinals' Free Agency Day One grade

I'll go with the old Parcell's NFL adage, "you are what your record says you are". The Cards were a 4 win team last year with Kyler only playing 8 games. I just don't think it is realistic to say that the Cards will have trouble winning 5 games next year. I'm guessing that the Cards will...

Cardinals' Free Agency Day One grade

Since the team won 3 games in the 8 that Kyler played, doesn't that put the minimum projected wins for next season at 6, even without an improved defense? I'd say we've already improved one of the league's worst defense and 6 wins or more seems like a good bet. A few more free agency adds...

Give me a guard, another defensive tackle, and an end rusher, and I'll call it a day.

I always liked the "skillet hands" reference, but also am partial to the "hands like feet" reference. What do think would be harder...catching a football with skillets for hands or feet?

    15 thoughts - free agency

With the value of an NFL franchise, along with the guaranteed cash flow, I don't think Bidwill or any other league owner would have any problem securing an ample line of credit for all of their player salary cash requirements.

    The 2023-24 league year

You do realize that Ossenfort wasn't the GM in Tennessee. It was Jon Robinson. Are you going to blame or give credit to Dave Sears for all of Ossenfort's picks this year?

Week 9 of the Arizona Cardinals off season. 3/04/24-3/10/24

I think you guys that watched Daniels at ASU were traumatized by it. I saw some of his games this year and he was really high level...both throwing and running. Easily the best college QB that I saw this year.

    10 Free Agent targets

I agree that they aren't going to pursue the biggest names in free agency. I'd add some CB's and DT's to your list. Maybe Kendall Fuller, Kenny Moore, DJ Reader or Grover Stewart.

    2024 Draft Countdown/NFL Prospects thread

Tackles like Jordan Morgan or Kingsley Suamataia will hopefully be available with the 27th pick in the first round or even with their early second round pick. It's likely that the top 7 tackles will be gone by pick 27 in the first round.

Week 9 of the Arizona Cardinals off season. 3/04/24-3/10/24

We really can't do both. There's a limit to the cap dollars available. Currently the Cards have about $55MM in cap space and our defense needs lots of new starters, as well as quality back-ups and money to sign the rookie class.

Week 9 of the Arizona Cardinals off season. 3/04/24-3/10/24

I don't see us signing any of the top tier free agents like Christian Wilkins that will be getting $20-$25MM per year. I do see us signing 3-4 second tier free agents at the $10-$15MM level. There's a big difference between "second tier" top 50 free agents and the crap that we signed last year...

    2024 Draft Countdown/NFL Prospects thread

Agree with Krang. If we could get an elite player at #4, two good starters at #27 and #35, and another good starter from one of our 3 third round choices, I'd be ecstatic. Four legitimate starters from any draft is outstanding.
