    2024 Draft Countdown/NFL Prospects thread

I repeat, it's way too early to assess these players. Time will tell, but I'm betting that at least one of them will develop into a starter within the next two years.

    2024 Draft Countdown/NFL Prospects thread

It's way to early to assess last year's draft, but it seems more likely that it will turn out to be a very good draft, than a very bad one. We found at least two starters in Johnson and Wilson, and possibly more. Dante Stills, BJ Ojulari, Garrett Williams, K'trel Clark, and Jon Gaines all may...

    10 thoughts - Seahawks game

For his first NFL start, I thought Starling Thomas was more than adequate. He had a big time tackle for no gain on a swing pass early in the game and made a couple of other pass break ups during the game. He had really good coverage on the TD pass to Bobo, but Bobo just made an outstanding...

    Murray and Budda are BACK

I noticed a limp in his stride a month or so ago, and assumed he was nowhere near ready to return, but in the action clips I've seen of him this week I don't see any limp. I thought he was moving very well. I've always thought he had an odd sort of stride, so I think that's what people notice.

3 positive takeaways in the Arizona Cardinals Week 6 loss to the Rams

Most of White's tackles were after the running back had gained 5 yards. Color me not impressed with Sunday's performance. I have liked him in previous games.

Week 6 Snap Counts and Thoughts

I'm not sure if it was our Dline allowing lineman to get downfield or our linebackers were just bad, but Ram running backs were getting 6-8 yards downfield before anyone touched them. It was pitiful. At first I thought Kyzer White had a rough game, but maybe it was the Dline.

    News of the Bengals Game

I agree with most of Harry's write up, but not about Demarcado's blocking. His pass blocking has been stellar the few times he's been on the field, and I think it's probably one of the reasons the coaches feel comfortable with him on third downs.

Garrett Williams and Daley Practicing Today

The Cardinals have opened up the practice window for Garrett Williams and Daley. Wonder how long it will be before Williams is starting. I'm thinking he gets some game time in the next week or two and is starting in another 2-3 weeks.

Getting Woods back at ILB and Ledbetter back on the Dline will help a ton on each level of defense. I think the drop off after each of them went out was significant.

    Justin Pugh

Let's hope their working Colon in slowly since he's only been on the roster for a few weeks. In the little that he's played, I think he looks better than Wilkinson. If not, we're stuck with Colon because in the preseason it appeared that they preferred Wilkinson as a starter over Daley.

Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers Pre Game Thread. 09/24/23-09/30/23

At this point it looks like we have an NFL average offense and a below NFL average defense. Our offense is playoff capable, but not when you couple it with our defense. Looking forward to players developing on the defense and adding talent in the offseason.

I'd add inside linebacker to the grocery list of needs for the defense. Woods and Barnes are "run of the mill" guys that you find in free agency every year.

    2023 6th round pick #180 is Kei'Trel Clark CB

I think we have to temper our expectations this season for both Garrett Williams and Ojulari since both missed almost all of training camp. I'd give them both a pass this year and reserve judgement until next season. If they contribute anything this season, it's just gravy.

What's a change that's been taken for granted?

A center that doesn't get blown back into the QB several times a game and then hikes one over the QB's head for good measure.

    Rondale Moore silence is deafening

Moore got 7 touches against Dallas, 4 receiving and 3 running. Not the 10 touches that the staff wanted, but better than the first two weeks. Hopefully, the coaches continue to find ways to involve him in the offense.

    2024 Draft Countdown/NFL Prospects thread

As it stands now, the Cards could use a CB, ILB, IDL, on defense, and WR, RB, and IOL on offense. Lots of positional options for next year's draft. Picking a cornerback, wide receiver or defensive lineman in round one would make sense.

Is too early to start Clayton Tune?

Come to think of it, Geno Smith is a good comp. for Dobbs. His play and physical ability kind of reminds me of Smith...good size, nice arm, and surprisingly fast and strong as a runner. Maybe a poor man's Geno Smith or even Geno Smith himself.

Is too early to start Clayton Tune?

Dobbs is making himself some money. It looks like he'll get paid as a quality backup QB, as he should.

Maybe Christie was at the game to manage the pre-game traffic. He's good at that.

Cowboys at Cardinals gameday thread 9-24-23

Rondell got 7 touches in this game. Last week Petzing said they wanted him to get 8-10 touches per game because of his big play potential. Looks like they know what their doing. Really impressed with Petzing's offense the last two games.

    A new dilemma…

Time will tell on Garrett Williams, like all draft picks. If he proves out to be a starting cornerback within the next year or two, then it was a good pick; if not, well then not so good.

Dallas Cowboys @ Arizona Cardinals Pre Game Thread. 09/18/23-09/23/23

From the little that I've seen of Hayes, consistency seems to be his problem. He's powerful, but on one play he dominates and on the next play he gets a penalty or let's someone blow by him for a sack. I think his size and power is tantalizing, but he can be a drive killer with his mistakes.

    Cards sign OL Hjalte Froholdt

How about a little perspective here. One penalty in two games is not reason to denigrate an offensive linemen when the balance of his play has been good. Even the great ones have an occasional penalty. I'm not saying Froholdt is a great one, but it's really absurd to throw shade on him at...

I did not see that Fotu was put on IR? The AZ Cardinal website still shows him on the active roster, but has been recently updated with Baker on the IR.

2023 1st round pick is #6 Paris Johnson

This is a fair assessment. PJJ has already shown me that he's a legitimate starting NFL tackle and maybe one of the better ones. Wilson and Clark have also shown something, but not enough evidence yet to believe that they will be the long term answers at their position. It is encouraging to...
