Killers of the Flower Moon (AppleTV+)

Just saw Killers of the Flower Moon at IMAX. Very good movie, but too long and, as normal, not as good as the book. This is my third movie at IMAX in a year or so: Dune, Oppenheimer, and this one. Killer is my least favorite, but still a good movie. Next IMAX is Napolean.

Giants at the Cardinals gameday thread 9-17-23

Similar to you, I purchased Cardinal season tickets in 1995, and did not renew them this season, for many reasons. I grew up in Detroit and have always been a Lions fan, but I also always wanted season tickets. I gradually became a more serious Cardinal fan than Lions fan and really enjoyed...

For those who live in Ahwatukee, the Wren House has opened a tap room at the southeast corner of Chandler Blvd. and 40th Street. It is called Sudhalle and will have a limited food menu next week. Wren House makes good beer.

New York Giants @ Arizona Cardinals Pre Game Thread. 09/10/23-09/16/23

That is not how it works. Digital tickets are transferred via the Seatgeek App. Seatgeek cannot transfer that digital ticket unless it is valid, and two Apps cannot have that same digital code.

    QB 1 (?) Josh Dobbs

I don't get your obsession with Tune, other than a cool name. He is a 5th round draft pick rookie that was a 50% passer in pre-season against 2nd and 3rd defenses. He may improve to a competent back up, but the coaches have seen much more in practice than we have in the pre-season games, and...

    Third down Efficiency

Exactly. That is why they overpaid for a 39 year old kicker who is mediocre at medium field goals, but one of the best in history at 50+.

Renovations? Renovations to chase field you say?

I have read information and talked to people who work there, and there are serious structural problems that need repairing such as the roof cables and water leaks. That will be very expensive.

    Oppenheimer

I just watched Oppenheimer at IMAX in Arizona Mills. I had recently rewatched Dunkirk Wednesday on Netflix. It is hard to compare movies, and I think Dunkirk is a great movie. Trying my best to discount the IMAX experience, I believe Oppenheimer is better, and affected me more. It was three...

Kevin Spacey Cleared of ALL charges

It is not really a technicality that he was found not guilty. Exoneration is the legal term for the jury finding. We discussed this in another thread. You can believe whatever you want from news stories and social media, but he was exonerated by a jury.

    Craft Beer

Anchor Brewery in San Francisco, the makers of Anchor Steam Beer, has closed and gone into bankruptcy. That is a shame. It made Anchor Steam Beer by a unique process since 1827. They also made Christmas Ale, which was very good. I have fond memories of drinking Anchor Steam during my trips to...

    Sound Of Freedom

"Virtual Signaling" is bizarre. I suggest that the real "Virtual Signaling" is the support of QAnon and giving credence to Ballard and this movie. It is all "protect the children". As a former police officer, I am sure you know that child sexual and physical abuse most often happens within...

    Sound Of Freedom

I hope you know that Ballard, the person this story is about, is a full on QAnon supporter. In 2020 Ballard gave an interview stating his belief that Wayfair is shipping children across country in furniture boxes. He chose another QAnon man to portray him, and a religious production company...

    Sound Of Freedom

Lets see, should I watch this movie? 1) It is made by a religious production company and is free to view; 2) It stars an actor that makes religious movies that is a QAnon advocate; and 3) Its subject is the basis for QAnon conspiracy theories. I think I'll pass. It may be a well-made...

    Craft Beer

I just discovered posts in Dining and Drinking and saw there are no craft beer threads. There are bourbon/whiskey, steak and wine, martini, hamburger, and even coffee threads, but nothing on beer. I am sure I am not the only one who does not do whiskey, martinis or coffee, but loves craft...

    OT: R.I.P. Jim Brown (1936-2023)

I find the accolades for Jim Brown interesting considering the long discussion on Matt Araiza, the punter. Brown was arrested 6 times for domestic violence, 40 years between the first and last time. He was never charged for alleged rape and allegedly throwing a woman off of a balcony, because...

    NFL Sunday Ticket

I just checked prices for YouTube Sunday Ticket. It is $249 before June 6, then $349, plus $79 per month for subscription to other channels. Without the other channels, it is $349 prior to June 6, and $449 after. It is billed $449 yearly. I have had Direct TV with Sunday Ticket for over 25...

Will Anderson Jr is that rare prospect who checks all the boxes.

I know this the same way you know your Cardinal opinions; I follow the team and message boards. Richardson does not fit their future plans and is not the type of quarterback that can run the offense that the Lions run. I would not be surprised if they pick a quarterback in the later rounds.

Will Anderson Jr is that rare prospect who checks all the boxes.

"Richardson. Detroit is actually the perfect situation for Richardson. He can sit behind Goff, whos contract will run out soon. Detroit has a decent offensive line, some good young receivers, and a defense that's getting better." Detroit is not drafting Richardson. The only reason they would...

    Today’ Rumor: Pick 3

I am from Detroit and follow their message boards. The fans say that the reason to move to 3 is to draft Anderson. They think the team is playoff ready if the defense can improve, and they are happy with Goff.
