    Premier League 2023-2024 Season

McKenna staying at Ipswich, and Potter is now the betting favorite to return to Brighton. Russell Martin (from Brighton and just led Southampton to promotion) has also been in the mix on the betting line since day 1, and Henrik Rydstrom (who led Swedish side Malmo to the domestic title) is an...

    Premier League 2023-2024 Season

De Zerbi (who left Brighton) is favorite for Chelsea, and McKenna (currently at newly promoted Ipswich) is the favorite for Brighton job - but also in the mix for Chelsea.

The Official Brighton and Hove Albion Thread

It is more him wanting to leave and the two just mutually deciding not to have a prolonged cloud hanging over everything after the season. He was frustrated the team didn’t invest more after selling all those players, and the guys they did bring in flopped (Dahoud, Ansu Fati loan) - which...

    THE Newcastle United FC thread

Correct.. I didn’t realize ManU was actually that low!

    THE Newcastle United FC thread

Yes 7th gets the Conference League. If Coventry would have beat ManU in the FA Cup Semis and somehow upset City in the finals, then only 5th would have gotten Europa and 6th would have gotten Conference (with Coventry getting the other Europa spot).

    2024 schedule release

Cards @ Bills week 1 screams one of those “well no one saw that result coming in week 1” games that seem to happen every opening week. I like our chances given their roster turnover.

3 Concerns the Cards Have About the Upcoming Season

I know you can say this about every team every year, but the #1 concern is if we are going to be able to keep our players healthy. I don’t recall any time in my fandom more than last year where I saw a guy on the field and thought “who the hell is that guy?!”

    Champions League 2024

Thanks - we went last year too when the club sponsor was still Manchester City. We got boatraced 10-1 in our first game in our “welcome to elite soccer competition moment.” Our grouped featured the teams that are now ranked 2, 3, and 13 in the country… so ignorance was bliss back then! They...

    Champions League 2024

That’s brutal - hope he recovers well!! My Ostrich Festival experience was a little better - my sons U9 team won the U10 gold bracket. We are headed to Club America in Cali at end of this month - looks like our group has the teams currently ranked #1 and #6 in the country. Should be mighty fun...

    Rank/Rate Our Position Groups

One was #1 overall pick and one was a second round pick. The expectations were very different.

    Zay Jones to Cardinals

Veteran with some success in the league to provide some cover for our two young receivers - hard not to like this one.

    Cardinals Sign Linebacker Markus Bailey

He did get a good deal of snaps last couple weeks of the season after not seeing the field on defense most of the year... we'll see how coaching staff judged his performance.

    Cardinals Sign Linebacker Markus Bailey

Realistically, he's competing with Owen Pappoe for the 4th ILB/special teams slot

    Champions League 2024

Excited for Dortmond.. my buddy and his family are big fans (our sons are soccer teammates). An All-German final would be interesting, but I think it'll be Real.

    2025 Draft

    Would avoid like the plague.

    Random Post-Draft roster observations

Carter and Gaines were the two biggest omissions to me before seeing your note at the bottom. Could see Dortch/Pascal/Moore fighting for two spots with Palmer/Weaver fight for the other if either one flashes during camp or adds more ST/return man value with the new kicking rules.

    10 thoughts - 2024 draft

They are different backs who do different things. I think Carter will be 3rd down/change of pace back, while Benson will backup Conner/get limited snaps early with the goal of replacing him after this season when JCs contract is up.

    Biggest Draft Disappointments

No, the Falcons were really dumb not to take Rattler as the heir apparent after Michael Penix, Jr who is the heir apparent after Kirk Cousins.

    Zaven Collins: What to do

Hoped he could thrive like Reddick within this regime's defense, but doesn't seem to be in the cards (pun intended). Wouldn't be surprised to see him in the rotation but not flashing much again this year and then him moving on. I'd prefer to see Thomas get the snaps at EDGE if the staff feels he...

2024 7th round pick #226 is Jaden Davis CB

I saw a blurb that we released Kaden Davis and was like “WTF we drafted him two days ago?!?!?!?!”…. Different guy.

    "The Trade"

I can’t remember if I posted here or in another thread, but NFL mock draft database has a consensus big board compiled from over 1,000 big boards and mock drafts. That’s the site I’ve been using to check on the relative value of our picks. I’m sure most of those 1,000 are people who would never...

    "The Trade"

I wasn't suggesting any of the above weren't true, but what the OP I quoted said should have been huge red flags to all teams - had nothing to do with scheme fits, and the consensus ranking disparity between McKinstry/DeJean and Melton was not insignificant. If those other guys had such glaring...

    "The Trade"

So then why did almost every reputable draft ranking have all three of these players rated above Melton despite all of these factors?

    Big Winner, Not Being Discussed

That program seems like a dumpster fire from the outside in.. I'll take the under on his projected draft ranking. I think Hunter is legit though.
