    If you want to get better on the defensive side, one of the best ways is to get a punter like Brooks in the 5th. A good RB would do wonders for the defense as well. I'd be happy with RB in 2nd, OT in 4th, and P in 5th, and then a guy like Ikegwuono in the 6th. Bring in Ty Law, and draft a DB...

    Think he'd be ok as 3rd down back, but doubt he'd be happy with the role/contract. If we sign him as the replacement for Edge that would be stupid.

    I'll go Jake Long (Michigan cranks out great OL regularly), and Ghoulston if he gets drafted into a 4-3. He didn't look good in OLB drills at his Pro Day.

    Smith was tendered. And yeah, Dockett's production dropped off late in the season, partially because Berry was out, but he bust his ass on every play so he was probably worn down alot because of the lack of depth. A DE in FA would be great.

    I agree with you DC. I think DE is almost as big of a need as CB. I'd like to see Smith as backup/rotational guy. He can be very good in that role, but seems to wear down when playing alot. Still want to bring in a DE, OLB, and CB on the Defensive side and OG or OT on the offensive side...

    Only two games next year will be a result of an "8-8" record. We will play all 4 teams from the AFC East, all 4 teams from the NFC East, and then two "8-8" teams Minnesota and Carolina.

    Obviously you could be right. But it would be a huge mistake to pay him anything over the vet min. How many carries did he have last year 15? 20? Plus allowed to punt blocks? The fact that he is still on the roster tells me you could be right, I think he should be gone though.

    It'll be Shipp no doubt in my mind. Shipp will save 1.75 against the cap, Arrington will save none (or cost some). Also Shipp is more like Edge, Arrington is more of a 3rd down, catch out of the backfield, speed guy. Edge and Shipp aren't.
