    The 3-4 WILB

I always considered Johnson to be a rush LB in a 3-4 over any other LB position. He was a beast in college rushing the passer and stripping the ball.

who would win in a fight? mcnabb or leinart?

I voted Leinart. McNabb would start choking at the end. Hard to fight when you can't breath. Plus even if McNabb won, Leinart would declare himself the better fighter.

    miami trying to trade ginn

Oh, in that case, since we don't have a 5th, I'd offer up our 6th and 6th next year.

    The 3-4 WILB

I'd love to draft Kindle, but don't think he'll be there at 26. I also agree if McClain falls he's probably better suited to replace Hayes, maybe WILB this year, but long term SILB, especially with Hayes back problems.

    miami trying to trade ginn

I'd give them our 4th for him :) Nice return guy and 4th WR, but he'd have to rework his deal, probably big cap hit coming.

    Jet's mock

I'd be fine with Perriloux in the 6th, the guy has talent. If you switch the rounds for Watson (3a) and Hughes (1) its fine. Cody (2), Spikes (3b), and OT in the 7th and i'd love this draft :). Oh and maybe A.J. Jefferson in the 4th.

Ndamukong Suh is a bad, bad man

Reminds me of Eric Swann. I'd love to have him, maybe start a rumor that he is a pot head.

Updated First Round Mock w/ 2 Trades

I don't know if Muck will ever be a standout and think he'd fit better backing and eventually replacing Hayes. He's a big hitter and is around the ball alot, but think he'd struggle in coverage. I'd also probably take Spikes over him if they were both there in the 4th (think Spikes will be...

    Levi Brown just confirmed!

Gandy struggled for must of his career, most of that at guard. Your going to tell me that we signed him to blindly be the LT for years, all the while drafting a college LT with the plans to move him to RT for his career. I think it would be more logical to assume that Gandy was brought in...

    Levi Brown just confirmed!

Ok, so my question remains. Why was the number 5 pick in the draft 3 years ago, never considered for his "natural" position, especially since it would have been Warner's blindside? Look I hope your right, and that he flourishes there, i'm just not expecting it.

    Levi Brown just confirmed!

Warner has been the QB for the last 2 years, his blindside would be the LT position. My guess is the coaches would want the best LT on Warner's blindside, and apparently that has been Gandy. I'll give you that he was put on the right side his rookie year to "cut his teeth" so to speak, but...

    OT: Texas Stadium Implosion

Sad news. Whats God going to take a dump in now??

    Levi Brown just confirmed!

I'm hopeful he can make the switch and be an upgrade, but I'm pretty skeptical actually. He's been in the league 3 years now, and still hasn't been able to claim the starting job at his "natural" position and thats competing aginst Gandy primarily. Don't get me wrong, Gandy played well enough...

    Question about Cody

SD may take him, but they need a RB pretty bad as well and Matthews may not make it to their next pick.

    Question about Cody

Agreed, and its easier to get leverage when you get lower, and its easier to get lower if you start lower. That was my question essentially, and I trust your knowledge about the draft as much as anyone posting here, so I'm glad you weighed in.

    Question about Cody

Not sure what you are suggesting with that? Your reply is fail K-9, but don't expect much else from you at this point. Like I said, I like Cody ok, but it is a concern for me, and apparently its crossed other's minds as well. Shaun Rogers was a much better DT in a 4-3. Washington and...

    Question about Cody

One of the things that worries me about Cody is his height. He's listed around 6'4. Most of the elite NT are 6' to 6'2, its one of the reason's I never thought Branch would be much of a NT, at least not 2 down, run stuffer type we need. You guys pimping him for the 1st round, do you...

    Good Read.....

I assume this is legit, but you never know..... http://football.realgm.com/src_twelfthwriter/60/20100402/interview_with_the_scout_part_ii/ There's another link at the bottom of this one from last fall as well, pretty interesting stuff.

    who would you pick...

No way I pick him at 26. He'll almost surely be there at 58, and possibly when we pick in the 3rd. I'd take Kindle, McClain, Weatherspoon in that order. I think Kindle can play Dansby's spot better than Mclain, and he can switch outside in a year or two when we find a more fit replacement...

Forgive me, I was bored today

Really good looking draft to me. I'd probably take a WR in the 3rd instead of Joseph. J. Shipley or J. Ford. And then take Joseph or Mullins in the 4th, but to be honest, I don't know anything about Stoudamire.

Hehe, I'll be posting my 4th annual Card's all Longhorn draft soon.

Draft: Mike Mayock update on Texas Pro Day

So just for the sake of arguement, which schools should we concentrate on? The only school I can think of that would probably be better is Miami, but if you look at the last 3 or 4 years, they haven't been as dominate in the draft either.

Draft: Mike Mayock update on Texas Pro Day

I'd love to have McCoy as the 3rd string QB, he reminds me alot of Drew Brees. Was hoping he wouldn't have a great proday and he'd somehow drop to the 3rd rd, but after today, i'm sure he'll go in the second. He's a smart kid, academic all american all 4 yrs at Texas and his dad was his HS...
