Hall was on with Bick & Vince yesterday and said he's "making progress and confident he'll be back before the end of the regular season." For whatever that's worth...

Minimum Amount of Wins to Consider 2024 a Successful Season

Well, truth be told... I am at a loss as to who will represent any sort of meaningful pass rush and pass defense on this team... We may score a bunch, but we're gonna give up a bunch more.

Minimum Amount of Wins to Consider 2024 a Successful Season

Simple Question deserves a Simple Answer. They won 4 games last year. So if they win 5, that's Successfully more than the previous year. 5 it is.

The loss of Gurriel is massive... Heading to Houston, which will be extremely tough, they will play games 33, 34 and 35 over the last 37 days. That would challenge even the Dodgers... but with all of the injuries this team is dealing with, that many games over such a compressed stretch takes a...

    32 games in 34 days...brutal stretch.

So... Merrill has gone 5 innings, striking out 5, no walks and giving up 2 runs on the whopping total of 63 pitches. But he's "lost it." You guys have cemented the fact that you really can't be taken seriously... :D

And yet, there's Nelson, Pfaadt, Puk... and at the plate, Perdomo, Grichuk, McCarthy, Newman, Suarez, Carroll and even Gurriel who was on pace for his best season yet as a pro. All talented. All who have gone through their respective down times and have battled back to achieve great success...

So...I could be wrong, but it seems you believe that any athlete talented enough to reach the big leagues, should either A.) Be good enough to come into a game, execute and achieve success... or, B.) Receive coaching assistance, take that assistance and use it in ways that produce success. No...

I don’t disagree at all. But we know the only other possible solution is Puk. And for now, I believe that Hazen, Torey and his staff have very sound, logical reasons as to why Pul hasn’t been tried in the closer role. For all we know, Puk himself may have said something… feeling he may not...

Not at all… but how would it be any different if we pitched those guys instead of Puk in the 7th or 8th? Puk isn’t going to pitch more than an inning. We’ll have to use other guys, right? When you play as many games as MLB teams play consecutively, you can’t rely on one guy to carry an entire...

Cuz they’ve proven to be able to hold leads and not allow the opposition to score…

So… who should Torey use in the 7th and 8th innings?

The expectation was that Sewald would mirror his 2023 performance upon his return off the IL. I trust Hazen and Torey who have just a tad more info and insight at their disposal, than you… As for Puk, he too has never been a closer. Torey, like virtually ALL MLB Managers, tries to play the...

Geez dude… I’m convinced you expect your GM and Manager to have the ability to look into the future and watch it play out before it all happens… Do you think Hazen, Torey and even Hall just don’t expect Sewald, Thompson, Martinez to collectively collapse? What would’ve led them to believe...

Now with Gurriel out, we’re left with Geno as our only legit right-handed bat. Perdomo switches but Gerry isn’t getting much done at the plate as of late. Joc is fading… Del Castillo is coming back to earth… McCarthy isn’t doing much… Carroll has cooled… I get it.. We’ve faced some truly...

True… but you just can’t take 3rd strike pitch as close as that one was… it was a ball, but it was close enough to easily be called Strike 3. It was a great pitcher’s pitch and Bell had to swing at it… but he didn’t.

It would be a minor miracle to split this series and win the season series…given the amount of injuries this team has faced. For this series, to be without our 3 best bats and have a chance to split? Amazing really.
