    Agree. However, his play this year has likely extended his NFL career by a decent amount. He won't have issues finding a spot on a roster as the backup QB for several years probably.

    Yep. In a way I feel bad for Kliff. Didn't they force Vance on him? Sean Payton actually hired the guy. Imagine if we had hired Payton and still had Vance. Our currently bad defense would be even worse and probably giving up 50+ a game. Glad Payton said no thanks to Bidwill.

    You bring up some good points here. His whole outlook this off-season has been quite good. I expect it will continue once he plays. His main negative now may be his injury history. Plus his trend in the past of becoming much less effective as the season progresses.

    Very true. But hey, Dobbs with far less skills was our Day 1 starter with very little preparation and has shown periods of surprising competence running the offense. Surely we should expect our franchise QB to do better?

    I doubt the team would be advertising when he is potentially coming back. They may not know ATM anyway. Dobbs performance yesterday was improvement enough over Week 1 though that he will likely be the starter until Kyler can play.

    The reality is that the talent on defense isn't very good. Injuries, and not having a leader like Budda on the field was a much bigger factor in my opinion. I'm not sure any adjustments by the DC would have mattered. The OC though needs to just be aggressive on offense regardless of score...
