LeBron has a streak of 1220 plus games scoring in double figures. Dunn almost broke that streak tonight. LeBron had to score in the last minute to keep that streak alive.
It is hard not to get excited about Dunn. He doesn't have the long arms that Mikal did, but he does play excellent position D, has quick hands, and has a bit more bulk to body on D. Frankly, based upon his form and early results, his three-point shot is better. That is still a very small...
Hmmm. I was hoping for good things from this kid, but then I went back and looked at his college highlights. He made plays when only barely blocked or unblocked. I don't have high hopes for him on the NFL level, but we will see. I cannot see how he will be very effective playing DE in a 3-4...
Chuck likes Vogel because Chuck likes the kind of coach who gives the ball to a star player and tells everyone else to get out of the way. Chuck was not a good team ball player in his day. He was a star, but he was a 1-1 type of player.
This league is much more team-oriented now.
I loved Cam and Mikal. But I am ready to embrace this team. I tried to watch last year's team but I just could not get energized about it at all. It was clearly flawed from the beginning and it was obvious the coaching was horrible.
It will be interesting to see what kind of player Oso can be if he can add 20 lbs of muscle to his frame. He looks like he has the frame to do it. This post about Sengun made me think about that for some reason.
Its also most important when you are putting together the final pieces for a championship team--even if those final pieces are starters. The five best players on your team are not always the best unit to put on the floor. Sometimes you even trade a better player for a lesser player who has the...
He has the jumping ability of Marion, the defense of Mikal, and it looks like the three-point shooting of Grayson Allen. All we need to add is the ball-handling and passing of Steve Nash and maybe we would have a good player.
Ryan Dunn is such a good defender that refs ask his permission to...
I am shocked. Just shocked. I was thinking of Scottie Pippen myself.
It's just preseason, but still, he looks so good. He looks better than Book did at this stage. He looks better than Mikal did at this stage. The combo of defense, quick hands, size, athleticism, mid-range offense, and now...
Say goodbye to Washington and probably Bridges. Bridges has some promise, just not as much as Oso, Dunn, or Gillespie. You can develop only so many young guys. If you keep too many youngsters, none of them develop as they should.
The points that Dunn produces from his defense have to be considered. Beal does not create that. It's probably a mistake to start a rookie immediately out of training camp, but the Suns will have to consider it over the next few months. They will get to see how different lineups work together.
His D is for real, no doubt. His form is nice on his shot. He is putting up a lot of threes and they all look good. So I tend to lean on the for real side. There was not enough of a sample size in college to really have a good look, and that Virginia offense was not very well constructed.
