Nurk, Oso, Plumlee, Durant, Bol, and Kaminski. I would consider all of them bigs. I would consider playing them all at center, at least in some situations.
If the starters are Jones, Book, Beal, Durant and Nurk, it’s just not a very balanced starting unit. Beal is not a forward, and you are not bringing Book off the bench. Having a defensive stud in the starting unit makes sense.
Wow, this is a deep team.
Oh, that is already evident. Watched Nuggets feed and the Nuggets commentators said the Detroit coaching staff told them that he was already the best defender on the Suns team—that includes Okigie. The best defender on any team is in the rotation .
Bol looked very good tonight as well.
I...
If he is your designated defender on the other team's star, how do you keep him out of the starting line up? I am not saying he will be a starter, or even that he should be, but usually the player that fills this role starts.
Dunns defense is a joy to watch. It’s that smooth type of D like Mikal rather than that crazy D that Okogie plays. If he new three point shooting is legit, he could be one of the best players of the 24 draft.
It’s not hard to play a rookie who makes smart plays and few mistakes. If If I was coaching I would be thinking hard about making him the #2 center. However, he needs to grab more boards.
You can’t blame Jones for all the bad stuff and then not give him credit for the good stuff. You could say just as easily that he is more unlucky than bad. The truth probably lies somewhere between. Like any job there is a learning curve and you are only as good as the people you hire. Jones...
With the way Oso, Dunn, and Gillespie are playing, I am not sure I care. We aren’t carrying four rookies on the team. I know Gillespie isn’t a rook but I think of him that way.
I am guessing that his weight listing has not changed since he got into the league. And the changes in muscle mass that can happen in the 20-25 year old range are astounding as a boys body changes to a man’s.
Honestly. What I would like to see is a forward on our team--Bol, ONeale, or one of the rookies--be so good we cannot keep them out of the starting line up along with Durant, and then move Beal to the sixth man role (along with Grayson).
OK, if so your starters are Jones, Book, Beal, Durant, and Nurk
Your five legit NBA players on the bench would be? Plumlee, Morris, Okogie, O Neale, Allen?
Do you not consider Bol or Lee legit NBA players? Not arguing, just asking.
Winning a championship requires taking risks. We could have waited, but who knows what would have happened. If we had waited, we would probably talking today about how we should have done the Durant deal when we had the chance. In retrospect, it was a bad deal. Dems da berries.
I am processing it. I am so sad about the loss, but I am so inspired that he kept doing what he loved to do until near the very end. He lived a remarkable life. He was such a gentleman. I wish there were so many more Al McCoy's in the world. I am so glad for the privilege of listening to him.
I have such distinct memories of the mid 1970's, sitting on my bed doing homework and listening to Al McCoy calling a Suns game. Paul Westphal, Alvan Adams, Ricky Sobers, Gar Heard. Even Dennis Awtry.
I know this coaching staff is really high on Darius Robinson, and he is a lot cheaper salary wise but he has not performed in a real game yet.
However, it seems to me that it would be easier to get a read on a good edge rusher in training camp that it would be a qb or WR.
I don't mean to open a can of worms here, and I am genuinely asking this question. Is Redick an option? I saw some media speculation that he could be obtained with a 4th round pick, and of course you would have to pay him. Is he disruptive in the locker room or something? Or maybe there is...
