    I'm not a fan of the Portland rumor. Nurkic doesn't amount to anything and Henderson can't shoot at all. Hopefully the Suns can do better, for example with Indiana.

    Why would that be? If the new team keeps him, they'll be paying him $30 million, and their cap number would go way up if they were sending out only $15 million.

    Is there a trade moratorium between now and the draft? It really seems like Paul's greatest value for the Suns is as a trade piece to bring back bloated contracts from another team that plans to waive Paul once they get him.

    They also changed the rules a few years ago for how the offensive player was allowed to initiate contact, and that set Harden's game way back. I suspected back then that he was the main target of the rule change.

    I agree that the photo falls short of that legal definition. As for the dictionary definition, it's questionable. It's a Christmas card (isn't it?), so a certain amount of joy and enthusiasm is implied, and they certainly look giddy. Whether that constitutes "excitement" is a fine line.

    Big difference between 33 and 28, which is where Valanciunas tends to hover. And Jokic played 38+ in the last five games against Phoenix. There's something else going on, but I don't know what it is.

    Good question. He's averaged 30 minutes per game only one season in his career, and I've always wondered about that. Poor stamina? Too much of a defensive liability?
