What to do with Madison Bumgarner? Diamondbacks trying to stick with him....

At least $20M, if they include more the quality of prospect should increase. Paying $20M+ for a good prospect is better than paying him $37M to go away. He does have hitting ability so its not like he is totally useless.

Cardinals are in a good position to get #1 pick. Talk Draft?

So just do what they've been doing every week. Will Anderson Jr would be the only thing to look forward to. Keim / Kliff getting canned would be an unexpected bonus if it happened.

What to do with Madison Bumgarner? Diamondbacks trying to stick with him....

Include a significant amount of money to trade him for a prospect, so in essence you are trading him for a kid who could make an impact in the future. Turn the money to get rid of him into something that can build for the future. Regardless, they are going to pay to remove him from this team.

    CFB & Prospect Discussion Thread:

So far he is looking like the #1 CB in this draft. Kelee Ringo has been quiet and Eli Ricks can't even get on field. More INT's would be nice but Porter Jr's technique and size are very inticing.

NBA Free Agency and Trades 2022

Well Well, when the new owner comes in maybe they will be willing to go for another big contract PF like Collins, etc.

NBA Free Agency and Trades 2022

Olynk could start at PF. He should come cheaper than Bojan (trade assets) and provides more size and all around game than Bojan. That would keep Cam on bench were he could provide offensive punch with second unit and would move Crowder to bench unless he is dealt.

NBA Free Agency and Trades 2022

I wonder if UTA will flip Olynk, I wouldn't mind having him, I wanted PHX to sign him a couple of years ago but he signed with DET which was odd fit.

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

Yes, yes interesting. Stephen A Smith should know a lot about this. His show co-worker Molly Quirim was in a rumored inappropriate relationship while married to Jalen Rose with...oh yeah that's right Stephen A Smith. I bet Jalen Rose rolled his eyes at that rant. Oh yeah, nothing happened to...

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

The man spends money, his space race with Musk is proof that his is not a bottom line guy. He may be that way with Amazon but I'm sure he is buddies with other sports owners and understands that professional athletes are not warehouse workers / truck drivers whose salaries you can control. If he...

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

Put me in the Bezos camp. I would love to have richest person in world as owner because there would be no cost cutting moves and I don't think he would be the meddling type because he has so many other ventures to keep him occupied. Yes, Amazon's business practices and treatment of employees...

ASU's New Head Coach Is Kenny Dillingham

Herm was making $4M a year and contract ran through next year I believe. I'm sure it wouldn't be about money for Deion but I think he is a long shot for ASU. I think Harsin maybe the top target once he gets canned at Auburn.

ASU's New Head Coach Is Kenny Dillingham

I will also say that he is footing the bill (half is salary) for the football team in terms of football facilities and putting names on football uniforms for all SWAC teams. He obviously is a good man for doing this but a larger athletic department budget would be a nice perk in addition to only...

We all knew this was going to happen, well I did. Wonder who puts their hat in the ring.

ASU's New Head Coach Is Kenny Dillingham

I honestly think Deion Sanders would be the ideal candidate. He is very personable which would help him with both recruits and their parents. He has NFL HOF credentials and will obviously bring in coaches with NFL experience to fill out his staff. However I don't see why ASU would appeal to him...

OT: It could be worse...we aren't Denver.

With Kyler's admission that the second half of LV game was backyard football it leads me to believe he may have tuned KK out and did his own thing. It would be sad if the reason Murray didn't play in preseason is he feels he doesn't need to master this offense because it ain't working due to...

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

The smart move for Sarver now would be to sell. His group bought Suns for $401M back in 2004 so if he has always had 30% stake, his investment would have been around $120M and now he would stand to make at least $540M which would be a a profit of 450%. He can take the money and live out his...

Eastern Michigan @ Arizona State University GameDay Thread. 9/17/22

It's not like he has a recruiting class we'd be worried about losing if he gets fired. He literally has no leverage to keep his job, same for Anderson.

Arizona Dbacks fall league thread. 2022

I see him getting called up to bigs next August like Carroll did this year no matter what. It's a nice honor for him to be invited to Fall League because as you mentioned its usually reserved for highly regarded prospects. My concern is he looked great after year off from shoulder surgery but...

    That’s Why You Fire Kliff

It's good to be Kliff. He is going to get paid to lose games on the regular for next 5 seasons or get canned but still walk away with $25.5M as I didn't read about any buyout clause in his extension.

Robert Sarver is in Big Trouble (ANNOUNCES SALE PROCESS)

Question now is what happens if Sarver is out? Does existing ownership group look for a majority owner, pony up more cash themselves to increase their shares of organization or sell to new owner?

    The Drey Jameson thread

I agree, Nelson and Jameson project more as back of rotation guys. Pfaadt should make rotation next year, he won't get call up with only 2 weeks left in this season. Walston may be a couple of years away.

Had a Ryne Nelson like stellar debut, 7 IP, 0 ER, 5 K's.
