Washington at Cardinals gameday thread 9-20-20

Still waiting in a “you suck ref” to be piped in to the stadium noise.

Soooooooo. Goooooood. Try not to know anything about it going in. Loved it!

2020 7th round pick is Eno Benjamin RB

Got him a round later than many were calling for the Cards to draft him. Nice.

2020 Draft: Can you beat Steve Keim?

I love watching the draft coverage and seeing the only key departure was David Johnson.

    Mexico Game

Can’t decide if I want it to be a division opponent, who we see every year, or a non-conference team, who has less impact in tie-breaker scenarios.

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

Kind of like my wife picking a restaurant. She knows where she wants to eat but wants me to suggest it first!

Star Wars - Vader vs Obi Wan Duel Reimagined

    They did a great job.

    Westworld (HBO)

Got to try and start this one over. Made it to about Episode 6 in Season 1 and then my interest waned. Heard Season 2 is a mess, but it may be worth slogging through to get to this very intriguing Season 3.

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

I figured she could have been saying, "Thank you for making me Queen. People from Winterfell to Dorne (etc., etc.)...are free because of you!" Kind of a victory speech. But if all you can understand from her is the names of places, how do you know if she is taking a victory lap or naming her...

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

Rewatched. She says it in her speech, telling them they will liberate the world “from Winterfell to Dorne...” in Dothraki. Yes, the names of the places sound the same in Dothraki, but no other context was offered. She could have just been naming places she now ruled. And the camera cuts to Jon...

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

Without rewatching, I thought she mentioned Winterfell in her Dothraki tongue when she was addressing the troops. Would he have understood that?

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

I wonder if the writing this season suffered because writers bailed to work on the 13,000 spinoffs being explored by HBO? I don’t know. Honestly wondering if the writer’s room did have significant turnover?

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

I liked the end. Thought this season had 3 really solid episodes, 1 meh, and two that were so bad they destroyed the cohesiveness of the story running throughout, tainting the others. This episode felt like vintage GoT in some ways. Between the battles, the real game is played. I liked that...

    Disney Takes Control of Hulu

I bought some Disney stock a long time ago and I have a hard time thinking of a situation where I would ever sell after all their acquisitions and expansion lately.

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

You woke up at 4:43 to post that??? Kidding. I agree, but Jon Snow is one of those rare bastards that has made something for himself. Even if he never let his true heritage be known, he had options in the North, if he wanted them.

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

I wondered about that too. Although when Drogon broke through the wall, there was a shot of that horse looking pretty mangled on the ground and not moving. Maybe it was just knocked out and miraculously survived like Arya?

GOT: Who will sit on the Iron Throne (Open discussion of aired shows)

I’m going with no one. Jon will establish a new representative government before foregoing his birthright and living out his days in the North. The Iron Throne will be destroyed.

    Game of Thrones (HBO)

The problem wasn't the number of episodes, but how they were used.

Ways to improve the episode that wouldn't have taken much effort.
