    Could be, but it's also possible he told JJ to do whatever he needs to do, and JJ is calling the shots. This is also an "end of the bench" signing so if something goes wrong, they can literally just cut him, so there is really no risk involved.

    Yeah, on paper, Nets have the control and they are calling the shots. In reality, nobody wants to screw over a top-five player if they ever wants another top-five player to join them.

    Not a bad signing, assuming it's a minimum signing. Roster is going to be gutted if the KD trade happens, so they'll need all the help they can get.

    It is not that simple. CP3 only has one year fully guaranteed. Bridges actually has a really great contract, cap is going to go up significantly in a couple of years when the TV deal kicks in. There are ways to sign players.

    Well, it depends. If your plan is to tank in three years then it is not wise. If you plan to do things via free agency and trades, then it probably doesn't matter.

    I am not a CBA/ Cap expert, but I am pretty sure you can't combine players in a sign-and-trade scenario. I don't think we can attach Dario, or Cam P, or anyone else to Ayton in any sign and trade scenario.
