Letting Chriss go was a mistake

I did like Dunn, even at #4. I wouldn't have been suprised if he becomes the next John Wall.

2018-19 Season | Point Guard Discussion

If the effort is there, he is a lock-down defender. When he is healthy and in good mood, he is still a game-changing superstar. His contract, injuries, this season's shot-selection and demeanor on the court are getting scary.

    Nets @ Suns 11-6- 18

Last 14 games of last season were: @CHA, CLE, @UTA, GSW, DET, @CLE, @ORL, BOS, LA, @HOU, @GSW, SAC, NOH, GSW, @DAL. This is not an easier schedule, it migth be the opposite, yet, our point differential was better in those 14 games than in these 10 games. Obviously might be a slight...

    Nets @ Suns 11-6- 18

I wrote that this team plays worse than the tanking one last season. The tanking one obviously did not include Booker. So we did "add" him. Yet, we play worse.

    Nets @ Suns 11-6- 18

That will be quick and ugly. I mean it will escalate quickly, and Kokoskov will be fired in weeks, unless some dramatic change happens. The Suns simply can not be that bad. This team is obviously playing worse than the tanking one last season. After adding Booker, Ayton, Ariza, Bridges and...

What could our unconditional 2019 1st net us in trade?

I see 3 (Barrett, Reddish, Williamson) and more will come as the season progresses.

The 2018-2019 Around the NBA thread

It is simply unbelieavable how much Fultz is scared to shoot the basketball. I understand that this is basically his rookie year but I'm not sure how he can escape from such a misterious fear.

    Grizzlies @ Suns 11-4-18

One of the keys of the victory was switching Ariza to Bridges on defending Dillon Brooks. Ariza is a smart, veteran defender who knows all the nuances but he doesn't have the footspeed anymore to keep younger athletes from penetrating. Brooks killed him with straight drives. Ariza went to the...

    Grizzlies @ Suns 11-4-18

It was too early. Stupid defensive mistakes by Jackson and Booker.

    Grizzlies @ Suns 11-4-18

Much better defensive team effort and awareness today.

    Grizzlies @ Suns 11-4-18

Yes, but there is no way it was a shooting foul. Booker did hit Mack's arm even before he started his pseudo-shooting motion.

    Grizzlies @ Suns 11-4-18

But you think you can play today?

    Suns buying out Chandler

Yes, that's something that you know for sure that in the 3 months you obviously won't get a reasonable offer that includes Chandler's contract. It is a great job that we got rid of Chandler's big hostile expiring contract which will comfortably simplify front office job since it reduces the...

    Suns buying out Chandler

Which is also great because it mean that we wasted away our cap space from last summer probably for a bunch of 2nd rounders.

    Suns buying out Chandler

Quite stupid signing at the time, and now we make a favour for Chandler instead of using his big expiring contract.

The 2018-2019 Around the NBA thread

The Kings are surprisingly good and they seem to be real. They play at a high pace and are quite difficult to stop when run. Their defense is much better, Fox improved heavily as a slasher and significantly as a distributor, while Hield, Bjelica and even Shumpert are hitting open jumpers...

    The 2019 Draft

I doubt that Mirotic can play C but he still might be a top target for the Suns as a premier shooter, solid rebounder and defender, plus the former yugoslavian (or even serbian?) connection with Kokoshkov.

The 2018-2019 Around the NBA thread

Me too, since I did bet under 48.5 of their regular season wins.

The 2018-2019 Around the NBA thread

Besides, he is more explosive and a (much) better dribbler/ballhandler than his comparison, Hedo Turkoglu.

    2018-19 Suns Roster Finalized Today

Probably it's too late, but after him waived by the Bucks, wouldn't be Tim Frazier the best PG on Suns roster?

Suns sign Jamal Crawford to one-year deal

    :), okay, freudian slip.

Suns sign Jamal Crawford to one-year deal

Crawford has obviously nothing to do with the Suns' gloring hole at PG. He is an undersized SG, who still kept remarkable athleticism, ball-handling and long-range shooting from his best days. He definitely needs to cut his contested long 2P-s, though. He might even represent a slight upgrade...

    The 2019 Draft

A lot of freshmen, so before the NCAA season starts it is hard to judge how strong this draftclass is. Zion Williamson has a (bit of) Larry Johnson-like athleticism and body-type. If he could show at least some of Johnson's skills, he easily might be #1. Worst case scenario is a bit longer and...

2018-19 Season | Point Guard Discussion

Jamal Crawford is not a PG, he never was, although in his 1st years in the league he tried to act like one. He did not succeed. He is a SG and he is called a combo G because he could not defend SG's. The bad news is he can not defend PG's either. It would be a terrible signing, IMO.

    Suns fire McD

The MIA pick was a steep price for trading up. However, if the Heat trades for Butler and he will resign in Miami then it is a mid 1st rounder, since Butler alone is almost capable of keeping them around the play-off bubble for some years.
