    Pick Watch 2018

No, that will help them to get an even better record. Waiters was one of their worst players this year and they play even better without him.

    2017-2018 Draft Prospects watch.

I partially disagree. Givony and Schmitz brought much more detailed scouting reports and video analyisis about draft prospects than Ford ever did. However, it is still less than DX did deliver. espn was quite smart in their rebuilding: they hired one of the best analyst/journalists in Zach...

The 2017-2018 Around the NBA thread

When I hear Bill Walton, I'm always wondering how a former NBA star player can be so ignorant as he is.

Shamet moves, drives and shoots like Austin Rivers.

    Jrue Holiday

I would trade anyone on our roster for picks except Booker and maybe Jackson (and maybe Chriss if he keeps playing like he did in his last 5 games) but I would trade the MIL pick for Dinwiddie without even thinking twice. However, I just don't see any reason why the Nets would do this deal.

    Jrue Holiday

Dinwiddie is (much) better and healthier than Lin, so they might want to unload Lin much earlier than Dinwiddie. Furthermore Russell and Dinwiddie is a nice backcourt and Dinwiddie is on a cheap contract next season.

    Jrue Holiday

Holiday is the one and only good perimeter player on the Pels roster and signing him to this contract was kind of a desperation move from NOP. Trading him would reduce their PO chances, lower the probability of re-signing Cousins and keeping Davis.
  8. H

    Jrue Holiday

Yes, Dinwiddie plays surprisingly well, he became a competent PG out of nowhere. Last year he was just a shooter, now he is a distributor as well, tall, solid defender. The problem is only he is a great fit next to Russell, so I don't really see why the Nets would trade him.

    TJ Warren now

Yes, and at least 5 of this coming lottery picks might become much better than Warren. That's the beauty of high draft picks vs. established players.

    TJ Warren now

What pick in this year's draft would Warren net if the Suns would put him on the market?
  11. H

    TJ Warren now

I don't think so. West is just a rotation player on an elite team, so in his case RPM can be misleading. Covington is one of the top 3 and D players, plays +32 min. for a good team, averages 14 PPG on 58% TS. Warren is less effective on offense and a much weaker defender. I didn't use RPM...

    TJ Warren now

Why the tone? If we were two Suns fans having a conversation in person, you wouldn't speak to me like this, so why do it on this message board? It's incredibly frustrating.
  13. H

    TJ Warren now

That would be an excellent response if I would have said that TJ Warren is 77th best SF. Since I did not, it is not.

    TJ Warren now

It is not (that) subjective: http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/RPM/position/5

    TJ Warren now

Player evaluation is much more advanced than evaluating someone based on scoring and rebounding averages.
  16. H

    TJ Warren now

No, you couldn't. He is clearly behind James, Durant, George, Leonard, Porter, Middleton, Covington, Harris, Ariza and Tatum if you take shooting efficiency and defense into account (and why wouldn't you?). Then there are a few more where you could make a case for Warren so he might be a top15 SF.
  17. H

    TJ Warren now

Oh, no, that's an easy no.
  18. H

    TJ Warren now

Covington and Porter are much better players than Warren. Signing Deng to that contract was a terrible mistake and everybody knew that even at the time when the Lakers did it. Parsons became one of the worst contracts in the league because he is always injured and even if he doesn't he is just...
  19. H

    TJ Warren now

There is no way he would, since Porter is on another level as a scorer and especially as a defender. TJ's contract is OK, but I highly doubt that there would be a lot of suitors if he would be on the market and I would trade him even for some kind of chance of getting a higher pick. Warren is...

    2017-2018 Draft Prospects watch.

I saw the game, Doncic was the best player on the floor and he did things that you can rarely see even from seasoned veterans. It is very hard to see Doncic fail on NBA level and only sky is the limit for him. He is one of those rare prospects that both the floor and ceiling are very high of.

    2017-2018 Draft Prospects watch.

And Doncic is a PG. BTW, I understand the enthusiasm toward Young but at this point Doncic is #1. He is the best player of one of the top european teams at age of 19. There was not a player of his caliber at his age ever that entered to the draft.
  22. H

    Dragan Bender

Yes, Bender still might have one year or two to reach Kukoc' level of around 1990 but that's a very high bar to jump over.
  23. H

    Dragan Bender

I did love Dunn before the draft and I would have taken him at #2 behind Simmons. Even having Bledsoe and Knight on the roster I did hope that the Suns will draft him. He had a terrible rookie season in Minny. Now he is the main reason behind CHI's resurgence and I wish he was on the Suns'...
  24. H

    Dragan Bender

Yes, but at Bender's age Kukoc was already a top european player which means much better than Bender now.
  25. H

    Marquese Chriss

And Dunn came alive and he is playing fantastic basketball (on both ends of the court) recently for the Bulls.
