Most people didn't like the cost. I actually thought he was worth it...before the ACL tear. Now it's definitely not looking great for Orlando. They also signed Isaac to a huge extension, meaning they have a ton of money invested in unproven guys coming off huge injuries.

Suns @ Jazz Thursday game thread 12-31-2020

I have had to find streams to watch, so I listened to the Kings announcers for both games. I too was pleasantly surprised. They were a good listen.

I'm never going to argue against Cam, but just an interesting note... Herro had 15 rebounds last game. Very surprising and impressive for a 2 guard.

That defensive lineup of Paul-Carter-Bridges-Crowder-Ayton sure was fun to watch when they were in together.

I pride myself on trying to stay objective on calls. That said, "trying" is doing a lot of work in that sentence.

League is way better off de-incentivizing plays like that. It's like protecting qbs. No better way to get hurt than going up on a fast break.

    Filling the 15th Roster Spot

Hollinger was vocal that Jones shouldn't be in the league.

    Filling the 15th Roster Spot

Maybe they are counting Ty-Shon Alexander, who is on the 2-way contract?

OT: How to watch the Suns game this Saturday?

And that will be the "sales price". I had to quit Cox cable because they kept raising it until I was paying $250 per month for cable and internet. Just insane. So I switched to Hulu Live so I could save $100 a month and still watch the Suns. Now, Hulu got rid of FSAZ and is raising their prices...

Suns training camp and preseason thread

I think Dario and Cam Johnson are clear rotation players. Saric should be the first sub for Ayton, Johnson for Bridges, and either Johnson or Saric at the 4 depending on the matchup. I'm assuming Smith is brought along slowly. The tougher area to predict (of course) is the guard rotation. I...

What are the best "big three" combos in the league right now?

I would definitely include Giannis, Middleton, and Jrue towards the top.

Check out this interview with Crowder. There's a ton of interesting stuff in here, including which team the Suns beat out to sign him: https://omny.fm/shows/burns-gambo/jae-crowder-phoenix-suns-forward

ICYMI: a sit down with Elie Okobo

Both fair points...Maybe "skill" is the wrong word. An NBA attribute? At any rate, "reliability" is an attribute many recent Suns have lacked, and I'm glad to have more players who possess it.

ICYMI: a sit down with Elie Okobo

He needs to develop a go-to NBA skill imo. None of our backup guards can do everything, but each has a bankable skill. Carter is a high-energy defender. Galloway is instant offense. Payne can run a second unit (I think; small sample size) Moore can make reliable decisions consistently. All...

    Updated Depth Chart

My best guess would be Saric comes off the bench as the top backup at 4 and 5 and Crowder starts at the 4. But this looks about right to me otherwise.

    Rate the 2020 Offseason

I checked, and Josh Gray never started for the Suns. But he easily could have at one point, which is all that needs to be said hahaha

    Josh Gray?

    Updated Depth Chart

We did sign Damian Jones too. He's no Baynes, but I think we should be covered at backup center with him and then Saric and Smith both able to play the 5. He's big and athletic. Nothing special, but should be good for the few minutes we'll need from him.

Diallo? I think they're moving on. Jones seems like a mild upgrade.
