    I sincerely hope both Vogel and James Jones are shown the door this offseason. Vogel is a mediocre coach on his best days, and Jones is an obstinate fool who has no clue how to properly build a roster to support whatever good players he has.

    Call me Grandpa Simpson, but I really preferred the late 1970s through late 1980s era of the NBA. Although I hated the lack of parity, and both the Lakers and Celtics dominance of the league through most of that, the game was far more entertaining to me then.

And that's solely because everyone will ask Vogel in the presser why Bol hasn't been playing more, and that will offend Vogel's ego...

    I don't know who decided that this roster works - whether it's James Jones or Vogel or someone else or some combination of the foregoing. But they are idiots. No proficient ballhandlers / playmakers and no post presence is a recipe for failure.

    Jones doesn't like post players or point guards for whatever reason. If he could get away with nothing but mediocre 6-6 wings, that would be the Suns roster.

    The one name in there who's a bit of a surprise is DeRozan. I can't really envision him as a HOFer... although he's certain to finish up his career somewhere north of 25k points, and that just about guarantees admission to the Hall. Nevertheless, he has to be just about the most inconsequential...

    That's a reasonable take and I agree. I think the (fully healthy) Clippers would be pretty universally favored over (a fully healthy) Suns. Possibly one other team, maybe (the Nuggets)... and that kind of depends how they both are trending at the end of the year. But I think we would be favored...

    At this point, I expect Poole to stuff the basketball under his jersey, pretend to be pregnant while strolling the full length of the court, and then suddenly take the ball out and dunking it, while reacting incredulously as the referees whistle him for a technical foul.
