One of the biggest needs in the draft - RB

No I loved the pick. He was the BPA and will solidify our OL for many years to come. Look at all of the RBs drafted late that have had success in the NFL. That's all I'm arguing.

    My mock - your thoughts?

I agree with everything you said. Many people over look his ability to read defenses. He's pretty good at it but he can pay for it when gets too greedy and throws an INT. I like that he's willing to take risks though he just needs to be smarter about it. Also to discuss what you talked about...

One of the biggest needs in the draft - RB

Idk about a 2nd rounder but I'd definitely spend a 3rd rounder on either of those guys. I just don't know how much value there is in taking a HB in the second round when you can get a great one later.

One of the biggest needs in the draft - RB

Bishop Sankey is going to be a very good RB in the NFL. He's the best RB in this class IMO.

Who is your young QB in the wing...

    1. Bortles 2. Bridgewater 3. Manziel 4. Carr 5. Hundley Doubt the Top 4 fall to us at 20. Possibly Hundley but he may not even declare.

    My mock - your thoughts?

He can be taught to slide in the NFL. It's really not difficult to install that mindset in a QB (Mike Shanahan's an idiot). Also it's not like the Cardinals would call all of the QB draws he ran at A&M. I think he'd be similar to Russell Wilson but more explosive and taking more risks. I think...

    My mock - your thoughts?

Well, saying the Cardinals can afford Albert "easily" is just off-base. Refer to the link I posted above for our cap situation. We've got some players to re-sign and probably will extend Peterson. He has a couple years left on his rookie contract but generally after their third year, top-tier...

    My mock - your thoughts?

I'm not saying it's impossible that we sign Albert to a big contract I'm just saying it's not practical and realistic. This link tells you everything you need to know about our cap situation: And as for Mettenberger sitting out a season or two, I remember Keim stating that you don't take a QB...

    Hard to believe.

I know this thread is meant to say that Palmer never got injured and we never had to switch QBs but Patrick Peterson did throw a pass in the Lions game :D

    My mock - your thoughts?

Terrible. First off getting Branden Albert in FA is just wishful thinking. There is no way we can afford him considering he will be expecting mucho dollars. Taking a TE in the first is just ridiculous. There are so many more important holes on this team that they need to fix before they worry...

    Scouting 2014 Cardinal Draft Prospects

The only positions I have really focused on scouting have been OT, OLB, S and QB. Here are my notes for players from each position that have a chance falling to the Cardinals in either the first or second round. OT Cameron Erving // FSU - From all of the mocks I have seen he is the player most...

The Bucs-Saints game has been flexed to the same time as the Cardinals game. The NFL wants to keep it interesting.

    Losses Have Consequences

All teams have those kind of close losses!! Quit living in the past! Both the Offense and Defense were still learning the scheme and growing as a team.

are we in danger of losing todd bowles?

We are in a lot of danger of losing him but the good thing is that the NFL today is so offense-oreinted that many teams will only want an offensive head coach and won't even consider Bowles for the job. Just have to hope for the best.

Still alive in wk17 no matter what happens tomorrow night

Even if we don't make the playoffs this season has been a major success for several reasons: 1. Arians proved to the fanbase that this team can not only win but also be competitive against every single opponent we face. 2. Taking this winning mentality into next season is a huge step in the...

My take on the calls late in the game

I thought today's game was the best officiated game the Cardinals have been in in a long time. Only questionable call was the hold on Washington but it wasn't a terrible call. The penalty on the Extra Point block was technically the right call and same with the pic deflection at the end...

    Draft a pass rusher...

I don't think Bortles will fall to us but if he does it'd be interesting to see if we take him. I hate the idea of taking a TE in the first though. FIX THE OT PROBLEM FIRST!!! I don't care if the TE has the potential of being Rob Gronkowski. As long as our OL sucks we won't be able to compete...
