    Suns sign Tyus Jones

Last year, we were all too naive to believe that with our big-3 everything would come into right places naturally. Vogel may have had the sweet talk in job interviews that met with Ishbia and JJ's naivity. The offseason market signing of a bunch projects and sticking to them plus Goodwin as main...

    Suns 2024-2025 Season Discussions

Agree, mostly. Nurk has stiff hands that makes him miss way too many closeup shots. And his 3pt shots were off last season. I'm less concerned with bad pass TOs though, as with a full year together the team's more familiar with each other now, plus we have 2 true PGs on the roster. I saw a clip...

Suns players and Team USA Basketball in the Olympics

That's the reason Kerr called him the unsung MVP. The dropoff to Ant and Tatum for the same position is huge. Another unsung glue guy is Jrue Holiday.

Suns players and Team USA Basketball in the Olympics

Curry and Embiid came back to form at the right time for team USA, while Ant disappointed under pressure.

Suns players and Team USA Basketball in the Olympics

If Book could consistently lead by example doing the small things, particularly keeping focus offball defense situations, it'd give us high hope for next season.

Suns players and Team USA Basketball in the Olympics

First of all, no NBA team ought to have more than one player in the starting lineup. Second, Curry must start. Third, Booker deserves in the starting lineup.

Suns to Sign Point Guard Ty Ty Washington on a Two-way Contract

He was with Bucks on a 2-way last season, so probably the coaching stuff are familiar with him. But I thought a 1st-round pick should be on a 4 year rookie contract, why was he on a 2-way already the 2nd season in the NBA? Fear he might be like Keon Johnson we got for Camara last year.

Suns players and Team USA Basketball in the Olympics

Book has the only positive +/- among the starters, beside leading with 6 assists. He's been playing really excellent D. If he could do it consistently on the Suns, while he was the weakest link on D last season, this alone would make the team a lot better overall.

    Suns sign Tyus Jones

When were they teammates? As to D, Okogie is still the best defender at position 1-3, occasionally 4. Dunn may someday become equal or better, but not now. Defense is absolutely crucial in the current version of NBA. So, Tyus better develops Alvarado, Beverly and Patty Mills def. mentality for a...

    Suns sign Tyus Jones

No need for promises, it's enough to pointing out options down the road after signing here for one-year min. deal. Ishbia's reputation, as mentioned in the interview, makes Tyus comfortable enough to know what's the best and worst case scenarios there.

    Suns sign Tyus Jones

Suns moves in the offseason to sign Allen, RO, JO, and examples of Landale, Eubanks getting bigger pays after one year stint cement their reputation to keep what they promised to the player. Guess Tyus got offered between 8-12mil a year deals, say 4 years 40mil, without starter promise in maybe...

    Suns sign Tyus Jones

Has Liddle been waived yet? I think it'd be better to waive Damion given he's now the most redundant guy on the roster. PS: Beal, Morris and Jones were teammates on the Wizards, right?

Roddy traded to Atlanta for Liddell

Also freeing up a roster spot to sign FA.

Devin Booker is the greatest player EVER in Suns history

From the few clips I watched, Book tried hard on D, that's a good sign for things to come next season for us.

Suns open Summer League in Las Vegas, July 13th, 2024

Roddy's D is still sub par after 2 years, so his role on this team is very limited at best. Hopefully some team may see from his SL stats some potential in him and willing to take his contract off Suns' hands. Wong is the most intriguing guy who can shake off his defenders with dribbles as well...

Suns draft Oso Ighodaro at #40

He understands the game and has visions next to only Jokic and Draymond Green. He needs to add a little weight to be a stronger post defender and def. rebounder, should be a starter in 2 years time.

Suns open Summer League in Las Vegas, July 13th, 2024

Impressions from the game: - Dunn has the tools for defense, is already excellent one-on-one defender and shot blocker, but he has shortcomings in 2 areas: 1. rebounding instinct and strength, 2. rotating to cover 3pts. On offense, he is beyond raw still. Don't see him getting much time in the...

    Suns 2024-2025 Season Discussions

One year min deal counts 2.08mil or so against cap, but not multiple-year min deals. Damion's min as a vet is about 2.8mil, so we save about 700k on cap count and thus avoid the 5-6time penulty as high 2nd apron team.

    Suns 2024-2025 Season Discussions

The problem with Damion Lee is we signed him last season for a two-year deal with a player option for the 2nd. I never understood why we wanted to bring him back, given how he shyed away from taking 3s despite being quite open the 2nd half of the previous season. I guess he wanted to stay with...

Suns open Summer League in Las Vegas, July 13th, 2024

Dunn's D is really good. Besides from the 3 steals, his presence forced at least 2 other TOs. He blocked a TJD shot and disrupted several others including that one on Plowden which was called foul initially but successfully challenged by Suns. Suns problem was lack of good PG play, not many...

Dunn's physique and defense reminds me of two Bulls of their golden age, Pippen and Rodman. His current offensive skill is probably also inbetween these two. :D

Josh Okogie gets paid-re-signs with suns

I guess, market value for JO may be 5mil x 4 years. They want flexibility this way.

    Suns 2024-2025 Season Discussions

Actually, weight wise Roddy would be the better choice at PF than RO or Bol. I recall one scene last season that a prominent scorer, forgot who that was, sought contact to pull a fallaway jumper, but totally lost control of body after the impact with Roddy and missed. If anybody be waived...
