Fired Cardinals coach hires law firm, requests arbitration

Privacy notwithstanding - It would be nice for all concerned if all the facts were made public. Playing cute with the truth inevitably leads down a black hole.

Who's your candidate to take over as GM?

Having not been been working with members of the FO on daynto day basis, my opinion is worth jack bleep. That said, it seems to me that NE “discovers gold” (i.e. unknowns who get the job done“) more frequently than other teams and that we could do far worse than hire the NE guy (R Smith) What...

Steve Keim taking an indefinite, health-related leave of absence

Ask yourself: “ If we were in the midst of a winning streak, would SK take leave?”

    Moving on from Kyler.

Talk about it “inside straights” We have to pray that Kyler fully recovers…And if he does recover, we have to pray that he can be coached-up to reach his lofty potential…Which in turn, assumes Kyle's willing to be coached up and that our coaches. are good enough to coach him up. Taking our...

Why Do Players Succeed in the NFL ?

He does enough things badly that make it difficult for us to win.

    Moving on from Kyler.

Just one guy’s perception, but I think the NFL is loaded with solid QB’s teams can win with. We should be able to acquire one (make that 2) of them. Of course that assumes our FO is good at evaluating talent.

Week 14 2022: Heroes and Goats

You can say “dude’s a Cardinal kind of player” but that’s not a good thing.

Wk 15-Arizona Cardinals @ Denver Broncos Pregame thread. 12/13/22-12/17/22

Luck - bad and good - is a key component of a HC or QB’s success. KK and KM are “unlucky.” Get the brooms out.

I think that Kyler Murray's career is finished with his injury

Classic reason why you need to groom 2 young QB’s at any given period of time. Injuries will happen just when you least expect them.

Wk 12- NE Patriots @ Arizona Cardinals Pregame thread. 12/4/22-12/11/22

Card players are winning less than half their contested battles. Opposition has adjusted to Card offensive playbook and Murrays strengths, weaknesses and playing style. Cards haven’t adjusted well enough to opposing adjustments.

    What the Cards Lack

The individual players we’ve got have to up their game and play at a more consistantly high level. This is more than moving players around the roster like checkers. Same for the coaches and FO. More wins vs. losses snap by snap. We’ve got to better develop what we already have.

How would you feel about these?

    Focus should be on winning.

Are there any DTs worth a top ten pick this draft

If we have a void at DT, we’ll probably need 2 for depth purposes. A guy on K-state caught my eye. #50?

    Cards v Chargers Post Game

I haven’t read anything new here. Same old same old. We get outsmarted by our opponents most of the time. Fix it

How bad are we? Here’s the facts, Jack!

If we supported teams who won every time, it would be pretty boring. Of course, we could become Yankee rooters and buy ourselves a championship most every year. Being on the short end of the stick - sucks, but I’d rather watch a competitive contest than buy a perennial winner.

For Those who Watched today's Game on TV

KM too often scrambled 1- 2 yards short of a first down. Cards lost too many one-on-one battles. Unimaginative defensive play design? Flaws in coverage/tackling technique? Leaving SD receivers all alone. Not spying on Herbert? Recipe for losing.

    Happy Thanksgiving

This is mainly for. Garth from a Cardinal fan who grew up in the same town A Thanksgiving tradition in my hometown Scarsdale NY was the traditional Thanksgiving day game between White Plains HS and an out-of-area powerhouse like Rome (NY) Free Academy or Miami (FL) High School. White Plains...

We were missing 8 offensive starters tonight

Family wanted to watch The Voice. I wanted to watch the red hot Cardinals. I was wrong. From crowd noise to Aikman’s lop-sided coverage to…oh never-mind, we were set up for disaster

    What I Saw

We are defined by our numbers. We outscored the Rams. No “yeah buts.“ We won the game. Now go out and prove we can do it again and inch toward .500.
  20. JeffGollin

No time management issues or false starts

We’re still mistake-prone. Clean up the penalties and embarrassment at the LOS and we could still scare people. Trade off Colt’s smarts for K1’s athleticism and we have a shot at .500.
  21. JeffGollin

    I'm sorry!!!!

You can’t “force” talent. Kyler isn’t ready. Colt is.

Even if coaching firings & players got traded, would anything change if Keim stays?

The dynamic needs to be 100-percent changed, and we need to get lucky with our new FO people. Incremental change probably won’t be enough.

What is Your Prediction After The Cardinals Loss To Seattle Today?

Same as before. Team and its players are mistake-prone and impossible to predict.
  24. JeffGollin

Even if coaching firings & players got traded, would anything change if Keim stays?

No doubt that we could get rid of KK, SK and KM only to have them succeed elsewhere. Doesn’t matter. They won’t flourish here or now. It will take a wide big-assed broom to rid the team of its sloppy play, “bad luck” and other earmarks of a losing team. Cut our losses, start fresh and build a...

    The Trade Deadline thread

If we did a deal, would it get us into the playoffs? If not, why bother (unless it netted out “plus “ value}?
