We know that Monti isn't shy and has some big cojones. I'm thrilled we addressed the trenches. They wanted Paris and would have taken him at 3 so all this moving netted us at least a first rd pick next year.
Just because Graves screwed up in 2003 doesn't mean any trade down from the top of the draft will be a failure.
That's like saying I once got sunburn so I'm never going outside again.
Monti has plenty of experience so it's not like he is new to draft day.
Outstanding write up. The goat list could/should be longer but the format is the format. Buddha could also go on the heroes list but that's a given every year.
IIRC, Conrad was asked do you really bite the opponent. He replied I have a face mask so I can't bite anyone......unless they stick their fingers inside the mask. He then just smiled.
RIP.
Reddick's last year with showed he coming in to his own. The get off and speed was crazy good and he was getting better at turning the corner and closing fast. He has proven to be a great pass rusher and game changer.
Not re-signing him may have been Keim's biggest blunder.
I wish I was simply stressed, it is more like depression turning into apathy. The Falcons game produced little stress and allowed resignation and acceptance that this team sucks. In the past I would at least get excited about our ever improving draft position but I'm sure we will screw the pooch...
I'm so fed up with this team that this thread is about the only one I read. 50 + years of this crappy organization has finally beat me down.
I had the red zone after the Eagles victory (that's a fun team to watch) and only switched over to the Cards game when they appeared on the red zone...
I'm trying to go all in with the eagles. They are my 2nd favorite team since I live in the Philly market. Last night may have been enough to make it happen. 50 + years may be enough crappy football to let me let go.
IIRC Reid went to KC first and they made an offer he couldn't refuse. If Harry means we tell Reids agent our offer is a blank check then I think Reid still picks KC.
If Reid does end up here then he still trades up to get Mahomes.
Kurt was a young QB who had only NFL Europe game experience before he took over for Trent Green who suffered a season ending injury during the preseason. KW was so good the offense was given the nickname "Greatest show on turf". So he was great almost immediately.
IIRC during the SNF game Collingsworth said the refs are going to call holding a lot because offense fuels the NFL. I'm paraphrasing, if DBs touch a receiver past the 5 yd mark holding will be called. It's a focus this year.
