    Playoff Picture 2021

Just win and the rest takes care of itself. Playoff don’t start next week or the next, so why spend energy trying to figure out scenarios with so many games to play by a lot of teams.

Shades of years ago. Or last year — fade down the stretch.

    Year-end record

OK. We lost a game. 7-1 now. A bunch of players are hurt, some out for the year. So, I’m still thinking we’ll lose 3 more game, finishing 13-4. I’m hoping there’s a solution for JJ’s absence, but doubt there’s enough cap space to go after a top rated d-lineman. What do you think?

    The Final Offensive Play

I didn’t see the final play because I was so disgusted with their play that I went to bed with the score 24-14. No idea what was called or missed on that final play, but the Cardinals lost the game early. The Packers kicked the Cardinals around like a 98 pound weakling. We couldn’t stop the run...

Now they’re beating us like a red headed stepchild.

As long as we’re hoping, hope for a pick-6 turnover.

    Game thoughts

Really worried about the offensive line. A “not very good” team pushed around our O line most of the day. Know Hudson is out, but does he make THAT much of a difference?

WK 7-Houston Texans @ Arizona Cardinals Pre Game Thread Oct 18-Oct 24, 2021

I’m anxious to see Ertz in this offense. He was really good with the Eagles, but here there are more weapons. I’m hoping he’ll be satisfied with getting fewer touches but more wins. But for sure he’s playing on a better team…and IMO he’ll make the Cardinals better.

Updated Schedule Predictions as of Oct 19th

While driving home this evening, was listening to a 5 person sports “round table” talk about who their top 5 teams for making playoffs. Two had the Cardinals at 5, one had us at 3, one had us at 2 and one had us at 1. All had the Rams either 1 or 2. Most had Green Bay, Baltimore, Dallas or...

    Jordan Phillips

I’ve watched the Cards for 50 years or more. One thing I can report is that when the team has had a good defensive line, they’ve won games. To me, you can’t have too many D linemen who can shut down the run and put pressure on opposing QB. I give the current coaching staff credit for knowing...

WK 6-Arizona Cardinals @ Cleveland Browns Pre Game Thread Oct 11- Oct 16, 2021

No matter who plays or coaches, I hope the Cardinals win Sunday. Might be brutal for each team with COVID and injuries. Cards are playing for respect and pride (to get to 6-0), while Browns are playing for their football lives. Cleveland cannot afford to drop to 3-3 and still hope to make the...

What I learned. What did you learn?

I’m concerned about the injuries and the remaining schedule. Looks like the tight end is finished for the year. Two cornerbacks out, center hurt, linemen dinged up along with a running back. Even though Cards are 5-0, the remaining schedule is daunting. Games remain with Seahawks (2), Green Bay...

Based on their Age + Salary, Who should we look at to replace next season and how (cut/trade/other)

Why are we talking about next year? We’re only 4 games into this season, which is going pretty good.

    Year end record

Honestly, I’m surprised the Cardinals are 4-0 at this point. In past years, I’ve use the first quarter of games to judge where the Cards would finish at the end of the year. Last year, I was dead wrong in my guess after 4 games. Because of that slap in the face, I’m hesitant to go out on the...

    That Defense Tho!

Here’s hoping Collins is not a bust. Cards don’t need another first round selection to go belly up in the fish tank, especially after so much hype. Certainly with the lopsided score, he should have gotten on the field in some situations. Cards need a better run stopper and I thought he was it.

Cardinals at Rams gameday thread 10-3-2021

Whenever these teams play, I find it interesting both called St. Louis home in the recent past. Growing up near St. Louis, I’ve always been a fan of the Cardinals but never the Rams.

We're not sleeping on this one (vs. Rams).

I’m not hopeful for this one. First, the Cardinals have too many injuries on both sides of the ball going into the game. On offense, the team needs a healthy Hopkins to win, no question. And, on defense, what happened to the aggressive pass rush that was on display against Tennessee. I’d dearly...

    Cardinals @ Jaguars postgame thread

Cards could easily be 1-2, instead of 3-0. Have no idea how the team will perform moving forward. The schedule is pretty tough, with games against Cleveland, Green Bay, Carolina and Dallas in addition to the West teams. Sometimes I think the Cardinals will be very good. Other times, not so much...

Is Hopkins hurt? Didn’t have many catches or targets. Hope he’s not becoming a decoy. Wouldn’t it make sense to target your best player often.

Cardinals at Jaguars gameday thread 9-26-2021

I’m hoping Cardinals — every darn one on them — are embarrassed about this game. There should have been no struggles, but struggle they did. Not a good performance for offense, defense or coaching staff.

Well, since I got discussed and left the wing bar, the Cardinals have scored 21 points. Double dang. I guess I missed some very good football.

Maybe Boswell can get some $$$ back from all the defensive guys he signed.
